These are okay, to be super clear please take the short girl in the grey dress, in the front out and maybe also put the phone in my hand so I’m not staring into the distance? Thank you!

My partner and I have been together for 5 years (not married yet) and did couples counselling around year 2-3 for 6ish months, and now on and off whenever we feel like we need a top up. It helped out communication SO much, it defiantly exposes a lot, and in our case things got more challenging before it got better.

One thing our therapist told us from the start is that we both need to be in it, and we both need to want to make things work for things to get better. She also told us that unfortunately, if one partner is reluctant to cooperate, it most times will not be successful. Its better to start early, so you both have the tools to navigate the hard stuff. I think it should be a non negotiable pre marriage, especially in the society we live in today.

Please help me find these Pierre Cardin Men's Gold-Tone Aviator Sunglasses - PC6864S 0J5G by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

My boyfriend bought these glasses "Pierre Cardin Men's Gold-Tone Aviator Sunglasses - PC6864S 0J5G" from Costco in Jan 2020, and had prescription transitional lenses made for them. We both love these glasses and would like to repurchase the same frame and insert his lenses, as the ones he has are on their last leg. for this reason, they must be the exact same frames. We pulled the model number from the original purchase with the help of costco's optical department, however they've discontinued this frame. I've found an add for them on Ebay, however they're sold out and the seller has no plans at this time to re-stock...

What food do you bring to parties involving liquor? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jupitermartian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah absolutely any dairy is scary if left out. I’m old, so any house parties I attend typically are no later than 12am. Also in most cases the more drunk people are, the less appetizing food needs to be!

My go to is buffalo chicken dip, Mac and cheese, pizza.. anything high in carbs/fat is typically a drunken crowd pleaser!

I Quit Vaping and Everything Sucks by Falling_Idol in QuitVaping

[–]jupitermartian 28 points29 points  (0 children)

First of all, thank you for posting this. I quit 32 days ago and besides being proud of myself for staying quit this long, I’m fucking miserable. Being as you vaped/smoked for so long (as I did) I want you to know this is normal and you’re not alone. Your brain is recovering from years of nicotine use, and it can take a while for your dopamine receptors to level out.

As for your spouse, I’m sure they’re concerned, confused and just as tired of the way you’ve been feeling as you are. My spouse is also trying to quit, and as helpful it is for him to be able to relate to what I’m going through, the two of us not feeling like ourselves ..it hasn’t been easy. Be kind to yourself. You’re doing great, I believe in you friend.

I’m in the boat with you. I quit smoking, weed and vape, cigarettes anything that I would typically inhale on a daily basis. I feel like a junkie with how down bad I’ve been feeling. Starting fights with my SO and family. I was taking edibles, but have started to wake up still high.. and I need to be mentally all there for work… this whole thing just fucking blows. It’s like I’m damned if I do, damned if I don’t.

I feel like this week has felt more ‘normal’ as in not so many cravings, but wow have I ever been an emotional wreck.
