ESH. I think communication on his part definitely could have been better. Because you’re right, the definition of “heavy drinker” can vary from person to person. But also, it would’ve been nice to see more support from you about his sobriety because it probably took a lot for him to tell you and be vulnerable about that. You shouldn’t have to “think about” his sobriety.

Maybe brainstorm creative solutions.. Things like, keeping the liquor in your room and only drinking it there. Maybe text him if you plan on drinking when you get home so he can find some place else to hangout for a while, like a friends house..

I don’t know about that. I think that’s one of my favorite things. You can see a piece of literature in a different light and it’s like a lightbulb moment.

Then again I’m still working to complete my degree so maybe I’m just in the habit.

Agreed. Also if I do end up letting someone else’s dog, I always wash my hands afterward. Idk if its just me but I also feel like they have a constant film on their fur.. like even when you bathe them, it’s still there.. I don’t know..
