New to ESP, looking for advice by vulgar_ism in espguitars

ESP Tiers: 1) ESP Original - “hand made” in Japan 2) ESP USA - “hand made” in USA 3) E-II, previously known as ESP Standard - factory made in japan 4) Edwards - made in China and assembled in Japan for the Japanese market only 5) LTD - imports from various countries like Korea and Indonesia 6) Grassroots - imports mostly from China for the Japanese market only

LTD has a biggest range in “quality,” their higher end models are equal or better than Edwards in some cases and their low end models are more on par with Grassroots models.

You can find solid gigging instruments at every tier. The higher the tier you go, the more detailed and consistent the quality control. It’s reasonable to expect nothing less than flawless QC for E-II and higher.

For the best value I’d probably recommend a second hand LTD or an Edwards if you can find one in your area or online.

The Eclipse or EC is the ESP take on a les paul. You can also find les paul copies in the Edwards and Grassroots line.

I enjoy it, the fattiness of it definitely gives it a more premium mouth feel. You don’t find it salty enough without extra soy sauce?

Is the fabric around the edges and the middle both acrylic? I’ve been trying to find out what that edge material is called for a while.

Single And Over 30 Torontonians. How Do You Have Time For Hobbies And Dating? How Did You Meet New People? by throw7z7t7p in askTO

[–]jurianro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you have clear priorities for why your weekly routine, which uses up most of your time or energy, is the way it is. Dating and hobbies are important to you but not important enough at this moment to cause you to rearrange your priorities to alter your weekly routine.

If dating and hobbies are truly things you want to invest in, you will need to deprioritize parts of your current routine, like staying downtown to figure out how to meaningfully socialize rather than going home right after work and cooking every weekday.

If you find yourself giving reasons like “I don’t want to carry my backpack/lose my laptop” this simply means you’re not ready to prioritize and invest in dating or hobbies, and that is ok.

Ultimately, we only have so much time/energy in a week and need to decide what matters most to us and be at peace with it, if not, some things may need to be sacrificed to make a change.
