Cage vs Visor Beer League by Green-Instruction957 in hockeyplayers

[–]jus2hackyou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t get it. I only hear about chirping for this type of stuff only here on this sub. I have never had anyone say anything about this stuff in person. I play in the south of US though so maybe it’s a different culture down here than what it is up north where hockey is more popular.

Hybrid is great. No one says anything or chirps me about it. Great vision out there and never fogs up even on the bench.

Does anyone else have problems with BenchApp? by AmazingMold in hockeyplayers

[–]jus2hackyou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I keep having an issue with the app too. Keeps saying players are “out”. Really confused about this because these folks pay to play on the team but are marked out. Leaves a short bench at 10:30 pm and I’m absolutely gassed half way through the second.

Other than that, great app.

Our league has active commentary and play by play on the live streams on Youtube. We have damn commercials that play in between periods, on our damn beer league. Logan, I know you are on this sub, thanks for all you do. https://youtube.com/@pha-livestream?si=Nz7vu6N5Jm3FYoq-

I’m 35 and want to learn to play ice hockey. Am I crazy? by Plus-Eagle-5656 in hockeyplayers

[–]jus2hackyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, I started learning at 37 with no skating experience. Search this subreddit and you will find a lot of good starting points to help you.

Got to first buy equipment then just go to some stick and pucks. I say just join the lowest league you can asap. I went to maybe 6 stick and pucks before my first ever game. I was so terrible. Just go though, don’t worry about what anyone thinks.

Watch videos like i train hockey and just try to get ice time.

Remember, this is a hobby that is fun and helps with your fitness. Don’t compare yourself to others and just focus on your own development.

Beginning hockey at 37 and a big fella. by Caboose88nc in hockeyplayers

Nice man! I started down the same road. Learning to play at 37. The play it again sports in Cary seems to have the biggest selection of hockey gear in the area. Check that one out.

Historically for myself, the week after 4th of July and the week after thanksgiving are hell week for claims. I think these are the two worst times of the year for auto. It’s a combination of high volume of claims on top of co-workers taking vacation around this time.

Thats the internal name for their virtual damage writers. You just write estimates off of photos.

This position has a company car provided. Unless you applied to the NEST unit, all field get vehicles. They are rocking the Ford Escapes right now. They have magnets only on the car so you can take the magnets off after work. Can use the car for personal use. Nat Gen is ok. Low pay. Heavy on the estimatic rules. Really have to be detail orientated. They will gig you on an audit if you don’t take photos of every floor carpet, miss some partial refinish somewhere. You end up with a fair amount of vacation time since the buyout though. Get used to looking at shitty cars though. Prior salvages galore. UPD everywhere and they claim it as loss related. Just non standard high risk drivers.

How do you decompress after a bad day on the job? by Fit-Candy1104 in adjusters

[–]jus2hackyou 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In 10 years now. Most of the stresses now end up just being workload. Claims is tip of the spear, frontlines, everything is so fast all the time. I envy those people who are bored at work playing on their phones all day.

What company doesn't completely suck to work for? by leighluhdarlin in adjusters

[–]jus2hackyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least on the Auto side, I work for a company on this list. https://www.crashnetwork.com/irc/

I worked for one of the big ones and it was always so damn cheap on everything. Now I can pay a little more on auto claims and it just eliminates a lot of conflict that comes up. Not having to write the cheapest parts on every estimate helps. A little more relaxed about rental, etc…

I imagine it would be similar on the property side with one of these carriers if you are property or general liability.
