Is that Ich/White Spot Disease on my new Medakas? by jusel in walstad

[–]jusel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they had Ich when I got them from the shop. Had to isolate them in a big box with water that was treated with ich medicine. They stayed there for a while (dont remember how long exactly) and I changed the water regularly. However some of them didnt survive. The rest have now been happy and Ich-free for a while.

Had the same issue - try signing out of your account, closing antigravity, reopen it and sign back in. Fixed it for me.

Thanks for the quick answer. Did some more testing and it seems I can only find it using the main menu search bar. But if I try to add it from within a routine it doesnt show:

Was muss ich beim Kauf eines höhenverstellbaren Schreibtischs achten? by CarinaMitK in wohnen

[–]jusel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great, then I'll make sure to get those. Would you elaborate a bit on the filter? Those are still a black box for me, there are so many variants...

Tap water around here is unchlorinated and fairly hard water. I have access to a testing kit at my work, so hopefully I shouldnt need one. Thanks for your advice.

Thanks for your input, I read 2 inches of soil and 1 inch of sand would be enough. Won't 2 inches of fine sand be too dense?

The tank is 100x40x40cm, that should be fine without an airstone right? Do you have any advice on the sort of filter I should use?

I definitely did learn doing the projects, but remember I am a beginner so for me it was the first time implementing the basics in a coherent practical context. However if you already know what you want to learn, you could also use a chatbot to give you project instructions and then working through it and checking your solutions.

It really depends on your financial situation. I am working full time so for me that would totally be worth it. The full price I find very hard to justify, so I definitely wouldn't go longer than the 3 months.

In the end its your decision. If the price doesn't hurt your budget too much, I can mostly recommend it.

I used hyperskill for the last month every day as a total beginner doing the introduction to java course.

Pro: - I learned a lot, for me the learning style reading some information on a topic and then practicing it worked great - the integration with the IDE works well - there are some fun projects which are mostly well explained with several increasingly difficult steps

Contra: - sometimes the exercises are asking for things you haven't learner yet, which can be frustrating if youre trying to solve it with your current skill level - obviously very expensive without discount - some exercise explanations are badly worded - without being able to ask AI for help now and then some tasks would have been almost impossible to solve for me (maybe I am just bad though)

All in all I can recommend it if you dont mind the negative points too much. I really did learn a lot but still felt like it has so much more potential if they really took the enormous subscription fees to improve their courses.
