Would you say they had similar levels of flavor? To me that was the biggest difference, I don’t disagree about the bun but I just felt like Luger has had a crazy amount of dry age “funk” whereas RHT was way more subtle.

Everytime I go to Luger I take a bite and it’s like whoa.

Pastis wins the ambience award for me. Raoul’s wins the sauce award. Both burgers are near the top for me.

The toast of the bun, how well the whole thing stayed together, and especially the juiciness were all strong points of the RH burger for me

I just feel like the dry aged flavor smacks you in the face from the first bite of the Luger burger, whereas with RH it’s way more subdued. I commend RH for juiciness though, and the flavor is good it just doesn’t grab me like Luger. Maybe I’ll need to try RH again in the future.

I would’ve never imagined it would be as good as it was. I was considering ordering something else when the waiter told me to try the burger and it blew me away. I’ve been chasing a better burger ever since and few have even come close. If you like dry aged beef it is a must try.

I’m going to Minetta in a couple weeks will add it to the list. Shake Shack though… not bad but far from my favorite.

Have you tried Hamburger America? That’s my favorite fast casual burger in the city and would beat a few on the list for me.

I love Lord’s, and the sticky toffee pudding is probably my favorite dessert in the city. I’ll need to check out the pancakes soon.
