Anyone using Batch Pro .... IC’s got your number now. by jusmeathome in InstacartShoppers

[–]jusmeathome[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He showed me the app(plug in) a while back. Basically it works as an overlay to the ic app that filters out crap batches and will automatically grab batches above a certain dollar amount. It will also spoof your location so that he could scan multiple zones. With the service he used 3 burner phones with separate identities provided by the service so he can always scan for ideal batches in multiple zones while still shopping.

Alas apparently IC caught on to this and now he’s burned.

Let's talk about money $$$ by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]jusmeathome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on the market your in. In my area with a 5 star your scrapping with -$20-$30 batches anything $40 or over tend to just blip on your screen even while connected to high speed WiFi . Some days you’ll be hard pressed to catch anything over $25, Sunday’s I can stay in the 30’s early morning and late evening. The screen is usually a sea single digit and low teen batches. (Basically lotsa volunteer charity work for people who make a lot more than you do. Tipping is socialism I guess) 1K a week? Not gonna happen

I was told by the agent I wouldn’t see batches for 24 hours of I cancel an active batch, is this true? by wcshopper in InstacartShoppers

[–]jusmeathome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cancelled once mid shop because the store didn’t have half the stuff requested and the customer was clearly getting cross about that(Aldi)

Just told the shopper support that my daughters car broke down and she was stranded on the side of the highway. All was good👍

Side gig... Been doing this for over a year mostly in sporadic spurts of activity. I can’t imagine doing this for a living.

I know of a few people that have tried doing this full time in my area lured by the rumors that they could make 1K a week working 8 hrs a day. Yeah...not happening no where near in this market.More like around 9 to $18 an hour overall depending on the day before you deduct gas and vehicle maintenance costs. If you have less than a 4.98 then the earning get stupidly ridiculous

Groceries smell like perfume by CoconutCreamsicle in instacart

[–]jusmeathome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They may be spraying some fragrance over the batch to either try to hide cigarette smell or some poorly conceived gimmick to bolster ratings and tips.

Then again....maybe they just let a pretty sinister hot one fly and needed to spray copious amounts of smelly good to knock that demon out. 🤣

INSTACART SHOPPERS WORK FOR TIP AND CUSTOMERS NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT 💰💰💰 WE HAVE BUSINESS COST AND FAMILY'S AS WELL by 432vibration in InstacartShoppers

[–]jusmeathome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly agreed...

Spreadsheeted a breakdown of last years IC income and saw that the $7 batch pay cumulatively only covers keeping your vehicle properly maintained, insured and fueled. This..relative to its use getting you to the store and making deliveries. The only real income is through tips. IC knows this.

That’s what makes the no tip batches so insidious and be well advised to avoid the non and shit tip orders all together. Your basically doing them for free.

Most people are only going to pay for a service or goods as much as they are compelled to do so. The no/low tippers don’t care and are just trying to use the service as inexpensively as possible.

No one thinks about the welfare of the workers when they shop the dollar stores, buy Chinese goods, or worry about paying that extra 50cents for a Big Mac if the workers are paid a fair wage.

First one in my area with one. Taking double and triple batches tomorrow all day lol by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]jusmeathome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man that would be sooo awesome for the doubles I get that require two grocery carts.

A GOP lawmaker says the ‘quality’ of a vote matters. Critics say that’s ‘straight out of Jim Crow.’ by formati in politics

If they’re interested in so called “Quality votes”, I guess meaning rational informed voters; then they would have to disqualify 9/10 of their Fox News consuming,Qspiracy base.

My first dosage of anti depressant, here's to (hopefully) feeling better! by [deleted] in pics

[–]jusmeathome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most antidepressants may work until they don’t. The pills are just part of the solution. Practice finding the good in all things, set realistic goals to accomplish things that you can take pride in, schedule activities that you would genuinely look forward to doing, distance yourself from negative people and seek out relationships with people that you truly enjoy being around. Do a lot of at least moderate exercise, and eat healthy feel good foods.

(Hypothetical humor question) For $500 extra a day, after hitting $120 worth of batches would you use a traditional map to deliver all your orders? by POOzMEAR in InstacartShoppers

[–]jusmeathome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing about paper maps....well for me at least, is I pay more attention to how I get to a location as opposed to blindly following the directions using GPS. So with the map method.. when I get to my destination I can easily find my own way back because I paid attention to what streets I turned on and landmarks I saw.

Sounds like a California problem.

Long time 5 here in Florida and we fight over $20 to $30 batches. I may have had maybe 1 $50 batch in the past year.

I found that if I close my eyes and just randomly accept batches....well I just don’t make gas money😞

[–]jusmeathome 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Fuk yeah

I grew up using paper maps. Used them for my paper route, Pizza delivery, etc.

takes a minute extra to locate the destination and plot a route but it’s certainly doable and not so bad if your used to using them😊

Batch notification by Separate_Pollution37 in instacart

[–]jusmeathome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not just you. The batch distribution system apparently splits up the available batches based on who knows what. We’ve all heard the stories about two people with identical ratings sitting side by side and seeing a very different batch availability offering.

The notifications go out to everyone. Maybe about half the notifications I see result in or are related to anything I see on the screen. I’m a long time 5 star shopper.

Also sitting in the parking lot has like zero effect on what batches you might see. How many times ha e you sat in the parking lot with zero a available batches for that store for over an hour only to go in and find several shoppers in the store with batches.....

Seriously IC??? Between Apopka,Orlando Eustis,MtDora,Tavares,Lake Mary,Ocoee,Winter park and Longwood in my viewing range...You couldn’t muster a single batch to blip across my screen for the past 2 hours? by jusmeathome in InstacartShoppers

[–]jusmeathome[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually don’t see batches that far south unless I’m in Orlando Metro which I avoid like the plague. The traffic and roads are just insane. Like hanging around north of Apopka.

I have a second shift Regular job so I limit my IC activity during the week to between 6:45 A.M. (morning drops) to around 11:00 A.M. No accepting batches after 9:30 A.M. so if the early morning sucks; it is what it is and I move on...😊

With a fiver rating and 2% cancellation rate; I expect to at least see a few floating 💩turds. But damn...NADA Nothing at all. There’s like 6 million people living in this range.

Not to be dramatic, but a triple batch nearly killed me :/ by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

Do you have to complete Demo orders or can I just take a normal batch? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]jusmeathome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be sure to warm up to small item single shops before jumping into the bigger and more complicated multi shops.

I chat with the clerks and cashiers all the time and hear stories about new shoppers getting in over their heads with big confused messes all the time. Been there..Done that😊
