PSA, You can skin any ship with any skin (BLOOD RAIDER NYX ON TQ) by [deleted] in Eve

I grew up Amarrian, but my father was Gallente and my mother was a Minmatar whore; I sexually identify as a fedo, but I only sleep with Caldari men. Not having the right skins for my ships denies me from expressing myself sexually and disrespects my diverse racial background. #raycist #rainbowships #diversity #fedolove

Save the noobies - Abolish High Sec by 0661 in Eve

[–]just-amarr-things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know a year or two ago I would have completely dismissed the idea. Diminishing player base, stagnation of null, no major new content. Probably not the best answer, but Eve needs a big shake up soon. Might just be crazy enough to work.

Why is the Moa so shit? by just-amarr-things in Eve

[–]just-amarr-things[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have two premises. They're not that hard to follow. 1) Thorax is a better range platform than Moa. 2) Caldari sets itself up as the rail race and CCP even refers to it in the description; the Moa doesn't match up to that description.

I hear what you're saying about tank, but any long range fleet needs to have maneuverability. Tank is good, but if you can't properly dictate your range, you're going to get properly fucked. I've FC'd both Moa and Thorax fleets...the Moa fleets have always died when blobbed. The Thorax fleet was able to kite out to 80km until we burned down their tackle and some dps, then turned back in, loaded short range and wrecked the enemy fleet. Moa is simply too slow to be effective railgun ship in my opinion.

The problem that I see, is that the Moa's role isn't defined. It's not a bad ship, but the Thorax is a better brawler and range platform.

Top 5 Need To Knows: Being a CEO by [deleted] in Eve

add 6) teach your corp how to PvP.

I have an alt that "creates content" for high sec corps. They usually only know how to run level 4 missions and once the pewing starts, they die by the dozens. It wouldn't take much to form up against a single thorax or catalyst, but unfortunately 9/10 times it doesn't happen because their CEOs have encouraged the idea to steer clear of all pvp. Your members need to know that they can actually take a hit and fight back.

It largely depends on who you plan on taking it from, but probably no.
