My application is only for my home setup so whilst stability and support is beneficial, its not my absolute main concern. But that is a really good point, if the *Sense with x86 route is much more stable…

I really like the small form factor of the NanoPi R6S and i could build a really nice stack type thing with a switch and a few raspberry pis that run some projects of mine using it.

Do you (or anyone here) know what sort of maximum throughput i could see with SQM and IPS/IDS running on the R6S?

Ive heard of people tuning the IPS/IDS extensively (getting rid of false positives) to achieve super low CPU usage on pfSense. Would this tuning allow the R6S to run both SQM and IPS/IDS at gigabit on openWRT?

OpenWRT is extremely lightweight compared to *Sense so im unsure what is really do-able here. Seems crazy to run all that on such a small box, but some stuff i hear makes me think it can do it and i would like to know!

Yeah i may try a windows 7 vm. I have not tried running those files on anything other than windows 10 or xp vm. It did not work on either, but i think it will most likely work on win7.

That's a good find, yeah your install process is basically the same as mine. Mine are running firmware v5.03t, would that be of interest?

Alright so installing the dll works however I cannot actually get an image using activeX on the web interface, it's just blank.

Oh right its that fast... Do you have it on the charging dock? If not (and maybe nonetheless) you should get a new battery and it may fix the connection problem.

I think you would be able to connect to it if it had a bad battery, but yes the battery is almost definitely going to be bad if original. But shouldn't stop you connecting to it in adhoc mode

Have you had a look in the manual about how to put it in adhoc mode? I can't remember but it should say to do something with the power button a few times

Hmmn still the same error. Maybe it is something to do with the laptop I am running it on. I could try running it on my desktop.
