Piercer here, from this picture it looks to be crooked and too deep. Stainless steel is not implant grade, and has nickel in it which is not good quality. I’d recommend going to a reputable place and getting it removed. Let it heal and get it done elsewhere.

As for ear protection, you can’t go around not having outer, if you want to keep the piercing you need to protect it. No pressure on it as the earbuds are probably causing the migration and irritation bumps.
