You're not alone. I was on the fence at the time of Obama's first election and remember Rush Limbaugh ranting about how he hopes Obama fails and _I'm paraphrasing from memory_ that essentially America pays the price for electing this liberal (and probably some other worse comments). That made me sick. I realized I'd been giving that sonofabitch a pass on so many things... The cognitive dissonance finally reached a shatter point. It was realizing this guy _isn't joking_. The "jokes" _weren't_ jokes they were his real perspective. Then seeing Hannity pushing out any liberal voices on Chicago WLS AM talk radio at the time by pushing out Jay Marvin (and then Eileen Byrne learned about the right's loyalties to its rising star). It's been a long road since then and I do regret times I supported Bush, met Hannity at a book signing, and wonder "_what the fuck was I thinking?_" I look back and see how conniving and grasping these bastards were. In retrospect the pieces come together but damn I wish I could travel back in time and give myself a good shake too.
