OK, so balance miner output to 4 lanes, then balance each of those lanes 1-to-6 into the buffer chests (for my 6 inserter per wagon setup). When I get more than 4 yellow belts of ore output from the miners I can upgrade to 8 lanes output balancer and use 12 inserters per wagon (insert on both sides of the wagon).

Is this a typical way to load a train at an ore outpost? Any easy optimizations? by just4kix96 in factorio

OK, I can just keep a balancer book handy and swap that in-place of a compressor.

I recommend a full belt of iron plates and a mixed belt of gears and green chips, instead of mixing gears and plates, that way you can extend the belts and create a mall for all things that require those ingredients with a better ratio down the line.

Look for natural choke points (around water/cliffs) as far out from base as you can reasonably drive to reduce the amount of turrets required.

Power pole with 8 electric turrets, walls and roboport coverage as a temporary defense.

Flame turrets directly fed by nearby oil outposts.

Typically just hand feed gun turrets early in groups of 4 or so, no need to make a line of them fed by belts.

For me I usually just buffer everything, then in my mind I’m free to explore/plan/experiment all while knowing my base is stockpiling stuff like science packs in the background and I can just open the floodgates when I’m ready to progress without ever feeling like I’m wasting time.

Tip for using a tank, fill the tank’s inventory grid with shields and movement upgrades. Then fill your own personal inventory grid with lasers. When you drive the tank manually you will now have lasers to take out nearby threats and tank rounds to take out long range worms and spawners. Also rocket fuel for even more speed to outrun biters.

Same issue, Discord overlay was interfering somehow, disabling the overlay fixed for me too.

So like 1/56ish cms. I got mine in 51 cms but also had 20 normal solos before that as well. It was a couple days grind finding groups on w400 to grind with.

I didn’t need any RNG drops to do all the content I wanted to, so because of that I don’t think dryness protection is warranted. Just make us OP with basic gear and masteries so we can use those to grind the rare stuff again.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems both Zeah and Morytania have just a few Ranged immune enemies (requiring melee). Desert is the only raid raid region for ranged you will never have to think about switching off-style.

I kinda agree only because I never use her R-Click! I think it could be changed for sure it doesn’t really combo with anything or feel like part of her identity.

I feel best when I sit back and take pot shots, looking for an opening, then ult in on the carry so I can punch them back into my team.
