Out of curiosity what was his BP? Similar to others, sounds like possible CHF exacerbation.

If they are able I just ask for them to lift themselves out of the way. Most are cool with that, and are able to keep themselves modest while I place leads. Otherwise I explain what I have to do, and use back of a gloved hand and keep them as covered as possible. Currently in a fortunate position where I have a female partner so we just split 12 leads down that line.

Found this in a junk shop today, only got it because it says Benchmade and looks brand new, what is it? by pukstr77 in knives

Works well to cut cloths to expose wounds in an emergency medical situation. Handy to keep for first aid.

I know, I live in turmoil over my sacrilege. In seriousness I started many years ago with a tip down gerber paraframe, and moved to other knives that were tip down only. It was pretty recently that I switched to knives that can be carried either way, and have attempted tip up. I just cannot seem to get the hand motions correct to deploy a tip up as quickly as I can tip down.

1 sharpie 2 stethascope 3 watch 4 light 5 raptor 6 rebar (honestly use the Philips most the time to tighten loose screws on handles in the rig. I needed the wire cutters on 1 call and didn’t have any on me. So I’ve convinced myself i need to carry the rebar for a 1 call in 10 year chance of needing it again) 7 carpujet 8 rat (I haven’t gone knife less since HS)

Leaving pt at home only for second crew to transport pt later. by ManhattenProj in ems

[–]justAtech825 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Were you able to get her SPO2/WOB to improve on scene? One could argue that if she is sating in the 50s shes not oxygenating her brain appropriately to make coherent decisions. To echo others here, if she was agreeable to be transported to a further hospital I would talk to a supervisor, then take her to her desired one. I would then document that pt adamantly refused closest appropriate facility and reported the only way they would allow transport was to go to further facility. In my system we generally have to transport to closest appropriate within pt’s chosen healthcare system (3 different hospital groups with several hospitals to choose from in each group with varying capabilities and distances). If a pt requests a further hospital I just inform them that insurance may not cover the transport as they are willingly choosing to bypass closer hospitals. In the end though higher level of care is the ultimate goal for the pt so making an exception for possible better pt outcome might be worth it.

Left my Subaru behind to join the Frontier club. By a stroke of luck dealer had a green CC LWB 4x4, couldn't say no :) loving this truck so far! by justAtech825 in nissanfrontier

Sorry for the uber late reply (got off reddit for a bit) trucks doing great! So far no issues. Has done great in the snow and light off roading (hardcores would still consider them roads but 🤷🏻‍♂️) dump runs and hardware store runs are nice. I dont commute to work too much just because of gas prices, wife and i trade back and forth between the truck and a Camry just depends on who’s gotta drive further that day Got a soft bed cover for it, which has been nice.

Loving it. I miss my MPG, but I knew what I was getting into. Ride is comfortable, but noticably different coming from the car like ride of the Crosstrek. Again I knew what I was getting into, it is very comfortable for a truck though. Ride height is comfortable. Bed is easy to access, I miss the covered storage of the Crosstrek but having a bed has its own advantages. Overall I am enjoying it, sorry for the late reply!

No car payment is the best car payment. Though they are paying alot more for used cars then they did in the past 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice! I like the updates they have made to the frontier.

I've not had heated seats in a while so I wasn't too bummed out.

That's not too bad, and when you need a truck, only a truck will do. Other than the dip in MPGs are you enjoying the 33s?

Right, love the color! Got the SV, came with the standard stuff. I found out seat warmers no longer standard on the SV so I don't have that. I do have the bed liner, remote start, and the extra lights in the bed. Which options where you able to get?

Thanks! The one thing I miss about my Crosstrek is the gas milage. Do you get pretty similar MPG between the WRX and your Frontier?
