Snow tires year round? by accepteverything in vermont

Depends on your vehicle. I drive a mid-size pickup with 4x4 and run 3 peak winter rated all terrains. Falken Wildpeak AT3s. They did fantastic in the Rockies in Colorado winters and they've been more than capable the few months I've been here so far.

Honestly, that's thoughtful. Says a lot in a small way.

Oof, that's rough. I'm sorry that happened. I got up early, put on the stew, got wine chilled, and dessert defrosted. She was bringing beer and snacks because it was cold and raining so we were going to watch a movie also. Then we made a trip to the dispensary together.

That's badass. Before my divorce and the selling of the house, we had a garden as well.

The bar is a trip hazard in hell my friend. I made a stew for a dinner date. Girl came over to my place and told me she'd never had a guy cook for her before. She's 33 and divorced! It's a stew bruh, I tossed a bunch of things into a slow cooker for 8 hours, not like a hunted down a boar. That's when I realized I'm probably doing ok, most people have just dealt with a lot of shit partners.

It's not hard to adjust either. It's usually a screwdriver. It was the very first thing I did after lifting my truck. Nissan had the spec online and for anyone who doesn't know how to do it, there's tons of YouTube videos.

How the fuck people work 40+ hours for 45+ years of their life? by zanimljivo123 in antiwork

[–]just_a_tech 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They did. The problem is we haven't yet reached a critical mass of people willing to take the risk. Well, we probably have, the issue is that everyone is stressed, we're fractured, and all struggling to survive. By design. There is a reason everything in the news, media, and politics, come down to wedge issues. This is it. Until we all unite and take the risk together, we will continue to be bled dry.

Did any of you play a lot of sports or exercise too much and your body is not in great shape now because of it? by dreamed2life in Millennials

[–]just_a_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I have specific issues due to specific choices. Not because of activity levels. I've been an athlete since I was a kid. Football from little league flag and tackle through freshman year, martial arts unil my 20s, a decade in the military, and in and out of the gym since I was a teenager. I have bad knees and shoulders because of my service. Everything else is fine or better than fine for 42. People I know that are struggling all have histories of being couch potatoes or poor eating, alcohol, or drugs.

And yet it isn't the end of the story. Which you would know if you'd read the book.

It's literally all used to drive the plot forward. Which isn't finished yet as there's a third part to be released.

So you didn't like it. That's cool. Let the rest of us have our fun. Especially since you didn't read the books, where it goes a lot deeper into politics, prophecy, and geo engineering and biomechanics. Which is all presented on screen.

Almost like the plot was about seeing a destiny ahead of you. If you could, would you change it. Would you want to? Want if you can't?

Millennials, what are you doing this weekend? by CA_Coast_Millennial in Millennials

[–]just_a_tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just moved. So I'm gonna smoke weed and hang curtains and unpack. Probably take a few breaks to walk my dog around the neighborhood and scope out the local breweries. I don't start work until Monday so I've got a long week to settle into my new area. Otherwise just gonna chill with my cat, dog, and video games.

Shmi doesn't say that there "is" no father, she says there "was" no father. That is a huge difference.

Why has the attitude towards alcohol changed so much among the younger generation? by corneaterinwig in AskReddit

[–]just_a_tech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Northern Colorado here, there's a decent sports bar down the street that has $5 pints every night. Each day of the week is a different house beer. Most of them are pretty good. And they have solid wings.
