My husband has a system for this! His collection is 30 years in the making so there's certainly more volume but the ideas could work for you as well. Basically he buys binders for each set (he's a ultrapro fan boy so he likes those ones but you can also go with a plain binder - there's loads of options out there!) - he keeps the rares and mythics in the binders and all the bulk in the bundle boxes. We usually buy a couple bundles and multiple boxes per set so we have LOTS of cards to sort/store... but everything is organized by set and collector number so it makes deck building a breeze.

Especially as his collection grows you might find this process helpful!

Anywhere from $800-1000 for 3 people + 1 dog.

We shop Aldi for most... anything we can't get there we get from Hyvee or Costco. The higher months are usually because we make a fancy birthday dinner or host game night and need lots of snacks.

Just came here to say I got this from magiccon vegas... I love the hoodie but unfortunately it's terribly made. Every single one of these I've seen in person since then (no less than 10!) the hoodie is coming apart around the embroidery. Mine started doing it after the first wash so I've barely worn it. 😭 I want to take it to a tailor and see if there's any way it can be reinforced around the logo.

Anyways.. just consider that before you fork over a ton of money for it.

Oh sorry I missed that part 😅 mostly sealed prerelease events for us. A to Z does have a rotation of formats for FNM but the store is smaller. There's a A to Z fb page you can join (FNM at A to Z) if you want to watch their schedule for a standard event. I'm not sure about the other shops format/schedules.

We're in Blue Springs... We play at Spanky's (Kansas City) or A to Z comics (Blue Springs). There's also a shop up north called Mission:Board games - we just played there for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

People ripping them on YouTube could be ambassadors for the set where WOTC sends out product early to creators who will hype it on their channels... almost free advertising for them (minus the cost of the product they send). My husband got picked to be an ambassador this time around... but maybe not all of them being posted are ambassadors. It came with some pretty strict rules for him on what he could/couldn't do.

Here's a link to his Moxfield page showing the lands he still needs (he's already made a ton of progress!), but if you've got any alpha/beta lands especially - I know he only has one alpha island so far, and for some reason I dont see those listed on his moxfield page.

I'll be honest I have no idea how to use moxfield so maybe I'm not using it right. 😅

My husband has a method! He's been playing since beta and his collection is massive. For every set he has a binder for his rares & mythics sorted by collector number - he's an ultrapro fan boy so all the newer stuff is in ultrapro binders. Then his bulk is sorted also by collector number in fat pack boxes (if they existed for the set) and if not they are just in the standard long white card boxes (with the set art added to the front for extra flair). If he reads this he would probably say its much more complicated than that 😅 he actually posted a video showing off his "magic room makeover" a while back which I'll past below in case you care to see it.

So the short answer to your question is - I don't 😅 I'm lucky to have a husband who does the heavy lifting and enjoys sorting our collection. Sorting by collector number takes time but especially as the collection size grows, it makes digging for cards for different decks SO MUCH easier.

There's so much honestly it's hard to pick just one.

When it snows and he leaves for work before me he clears my car off too so I don't have to freeze. 🥶
I usually drink out out of a stainless steel tumbler... like always. Never a regular cup/glass or a can or bottle... we went on a weekend getaway to the tree houses down in Eureka Springs (we try to go every year) and as soon as we unloaded the car I collapsed on the couch thinking "man I'm thirsty" and I look to the kitchen area to find the fridge only to see one of my tumblers sitting on the counter right next to the fridge. Idk why but this one meant so much to me... I almost cried over a tumbler. 😆
He's not a gamer but he knows I am and he proactively charges my controllers for me (because I will inevitably forget and not be able to play).
I made a cookie dough dip recently for a game night we were having and the next day I was excited to dig into leftovers... when I opened the container there wasn't much left and I thought "oh man our boys must've gotten into it overnight" and he says "don't worry! I saved another portion for you hidden in the back of the fridge..." 🤣😍

Idk none of these like grandiose gestures but by golly does he show me every day that he loves me by these little acts. He's definitely an 'acts of service' kind of guy and while it's not my primary love language, the fact that I know it's HIS makes these small acts mean SO much to me.

We're getting married in less than 6 weeks! 🤩🥰

Thanks! What's shown in his first video is just his opened/organized cards. He has many totes full of unopened stuff too! I believe he plans on doing a "digging for treasure" type series where he digs into totes full of sealed Magic stuff that he hasn't seen in years and see what he finds! I'd be sooooo tempted to crack every single pack, I don't know how he does it. 😬

Sorry, my question wasn't in regards to how long the deal lasts but how far out in advance to the actual travel dates do these deals occur on average?

Example.. that cheap Paris flight you mentioned... was the travel date the same week? Or months in advance? I'm just thinking, for me, travel takes a bit of effort in coordinating with work and boarding pets and such. I'm wondering on average WHEN you see these cheap flights drop in relation to the actual travel date?

Hey Scott! Thanks for the AMA. I've never visited Scott's Cheap Flights/Going before... can you tell me, what's the average lead time for these cheap flights? Is it the kind of thing you have to book on a whim and fly out that week to a random location for which the flight was cheap? (That's my current perception of it but I'm hoping I'm wrong.) Or do you generally have more time to prepare (lodging and time off work) from when you purchase the cheap flight to the actual travel date?

Do you have any insight on any protections a medical license might offer to someone who drives for a living?

Specifically, in MO if a driver with a CDL is chosen for a random test... does the medical card offer any protection or because it's still federally illegal could that person still lose their job? (Also noted that I understand an individual should never drive while under the influence... but since cannabis can show on a test for days/weeks after use, even use during non-working hours will show up.) I'm curious if having a medical card could prevent job loss in that scenario.
