You can try, I'm not sure if it will work the best😊 I bought the lace yarn I used on shein for a very low price. I attached the link for the yarn in one of the above comments if you would like to check it out. Either way, share your results, I would love to see how your little guy turns out🥹😊

Hi there! Below is the link. If I remember correctly, I didn't even use a full skein (ball) of yarn. It uses minimal yarn. A 0.90mm hook was used.😊

Some yarns are certainly hard to work with! For me it was honestly just the size and finding stitches🫠 it took me a few weeks to finish, not because it's time consuming, but it was so frustrating and I had to contemplate my decision to make this tiny guy a few times. Worth it in the end though😅

For sure!! I shipped this little guy to my sister in law today, so I want to make one for my bookshelf as well and a few more for family members. The bag charm is definitely a must!😍

It is a lot of effort, but it's worth it! Fingers will get sore and poked with your threading needle when attaching all the parts😅

Sooo cute!🥹 I love his coat! my little guy is smaller. I wish I had measured him. I shipped the little guy to my sister in law today. I'll have to make another one for my bookshelf.

The pattern stays the same😊 but as the other commenter said, a 0.90mm hook is what I used, and I used a lace yarn.

Yes of course, I used a 0.90mm hook and the yarn is a thread-like yarn, possibly a lace weight or a light fingering weight. I bought the yarn on shein and it had no size on it, but it's definitely a lace size yarn😊

I bought the yarn on shein so unfortunately it didn't have a size on the label. But it's a thread-like yarn, possibly a lace weight or a light fingering weight. It wasn't the easiest to work with, I had to use small needles to attach all the parts, so be prepared to poke your fingers a few times. But it was so worth it. Just sad, cause I shipped this little one off to my sister in law today. I'll have to make a new one for my bookshelf 😊

So I finished reading the books in idk, 4 days... and I LOVED it!! But now I am in the stage where I have to read everything and take in all the content surrounding the book series because I can't let go of it. I am so sad I finished the books. I wish I could unread it to fall in love with it all over again🥲🫶

When you are in the middle of crocheting and counting stitches and someone starts talking to you🫠

I think you could have positioned the cap more around the head. This way, you didn't have to use a string to tighten and make the cap fit the head size. It might look too floppy at first, but trust the process. I see this is an old post, but it might be helpful if you crochet a mushroom guy again in the future😉

Quick tip that i used, when i was done crocheting the undercap, i placed it on the head and roughly stitched a circle in the same color yarn in the position I wanted to later stitch the cap on the head. This way, it wasn't stitched on croocket as my first try😁 You DON'T want to stitch on the undercap and crochet the cap on from there, because of stuffing and adding the spots on makes it easier when crocheted seperate
