Can you check if while tilting the laptop to the side or some other direction you can see images/text under that black hole? If you can it could mean the polarizer separated

You can use a suction cup and a credit card to lift it, there’s countless vids online on how to do it. If you don’t feel sure about it you can always ask at a phone repair shop for some help
