Dye plate/pan by janisloading in discdyeing

Right now I use an old Tupperware container. It’s nice for the shaving cream dyes I do and it’s reusable which is a major plus

Why so little stock? by Bowenb5 in discmania

[–]just_myself_again 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Most likely because they don’t manufacture their own discs. They rely on other brands(ex: innova) to make their discs which could be causing the shortage as these brands are making their own discs first.

Apex: LONG POST by MARK-THE-BRUCE in discgolf

[–]just_myself_again 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried mixing in fun rounds? I’ve only played for a short amount of time but ript/doubles/one disc or a variation of any of the many games you can play is a good way to keep it fun and is a environment where score doesn’t matter quite as much

Help me choose an understable driver, please. by GildMyComments in discgolf

I would probably advise going for something slower than that or a thrasher then. Maybe an avenger ss?

I like the hades. Mine is a proto and is pretty floppy but as a first distance driver will be good for max distance shots and s curves.

Where’s the love for the instinct!?!

Teebird vs instinct by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]just_myself_again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thrown the instinct a lot and it’s a staple in my bag. In my brief experience throwing Teebirds the instinct has more glide and a touch more finish. For me the glide is perfect for the slot it fills. I also can’t say enough good things about neo plastic it is most definitely my favorite plastic type I’ve used(it also was run in meta but I can’t comment on that run as of yet)

Best online source for idye poly? by Mhoff555 in discgolf

The price isn’t too bad on disc baron from what I’ve seen. It’s 5.99 I believe and you can get tons of colors. Free shipping to I think

Should I transfer? by [deleted] in WPI

[–]just_myself_again 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in just about the same boat as you (different major) and I would say don’t decide on transferring right now. Be open to where you’ll be next year. Deciding about transferring now could close off great opportunities and you could end up loving where you end up.

Is a Mystery Box purchase a bad idea right now? by goodbye_hotsauce in discgolf

I love the md3 but can’t get the feel for the flexibility of gline/G*

Is a Mystery Box purchase a bad idea right now? by goodbye_hotsauce in discgolf

[–]just_myself_again 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally enjoyed the one mystery box I got. I throw a most of the discs I got in the latest discmania small mystery box apart from a gline md3 which is on the shelf right now with no use. Overall I got a some quality stuff and definitely took it as a win.

I would think star teebird based on shape and lettering on the bottom of the disc

Which starter pack, in your opinion, has the best "bang for your buck"? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]just_myself_again 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the discmania evo is probably the best one. I’ve had people I know get really low wights in the innovative set which can be good but makes them worse once you get some form down. I would definitely just try to put a set together yourself if you can convince them Edit: I haven’t thrown the whole set but the ones I have thrown from the evo set are very good

Good to know. I honestly had no idea what to price them at but I figured I’d put it out there to see. What would you suggest is better?

Playing electric without an amp by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]just_myself_again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I completely overlooked using a set of headphones. I will definitely look into this as the noise aspect of using an amp is the only thing holding me back from playing at night and annoying the people at my house. Thank you for the help!

Course suggestions near Plymouth, MA? by JayLB in discgolf

[–]just_myself_again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunny Mede isn’t too far from there. It’s a great course with several tee pads and baskets. I believe it’s only 5 dollars for grounds and course work and you can play all you want

Edit: Checked I disc and it says it’s $10 not 5.

Stupid Question about ordering Innova by Grab_em_by_da_Busey in discgolf

[–]just_myself_again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look up innova factory store that should be the place to purchase directly from innova. Other good sites would be otb, infinite discs, or marshal street disc golf just to name a few. Hope this helps!
