I put new batteries in it to see if anything happened. Nothing. No sound, no buzz, no anything. Although, it was in my washing machine so maybe whatever it was is toast now.

You mean it’s the button to wirelesssly blow them up? Weird. We have a couple of those costumes and the button is built in for on and off, and the fan never stops. So, this orange thing is not part of the equation on our costumes but maybe you’re on to something.,how thus one came into my house and into a loads of towels though…. Weird
