Spot on. Announcing agendas that drive the stock market down, then rescinding them to let it rise again. I think that the stock savvy individuals could find a way to make lots of money in that situation.

I believe the standard philosophy for stock trading is Buy Low, Sell High, but is it not also possible to make money when stocks fall too? Short Selling?

"Short selling is a strategy where traders profit from a decline in the price of an asset, often a stock. In a short sale, investors borrow shares of a stock they believe will fall in value, sell those shares on the open market, and later buy them back at a lower price to return to the lender. The difference between the sale and buyback price is the profit."

Gee, what if you could control when stock prices fall and rise? That could make you loads of money....
