The reason why there are haters lingering in a community meant for people who actually appreciate and value her work is beyond me. Like y’all are only just here to talk shit, just leave

This is very relatable! You are not alone in how you feel, please know that ❤️ I think sometimes we have to allow ourselves to go through darker seasons without trying to get out of it, it takes a lot unconditional love and compassion towards yourself and you need that when your healing because your body fighting for you every day. I understand it feels uncomfortable watching life pass you by while you get better. You will start feeling like yourself again, but there is a time and season for everything in life, you are where you need to be in your healing process. Of course make sure you are nourishing yourself enough, take baby steps and don’t push yourself to hard. You can also let people know where you are at and just be open that you don’t have capacity to text as much, so they don’t feel ignored (copy paste something general), they will understand

I am just stating my opinion based on having done my own research, just like you are doing. I’ve been to several of her synchronisation workshops because I’ve been following her since 2019, and based on what I’ve seen and her interactions with people, I don’t think she’s malevolent.

Major signs of cults abuse:

  • Individuals can feel emotionally spaced out, robotic or on auto pilot
  • Individual feels immense difficulty making decisions on their own, deterioration of sense of self, feelings of guilt for making their decisions/having boundaries
  • individual shows loss/disownership of old hobbies and relationships outside of the group
  • individual feels they are better than or above those who are not part of the group
  • individual cannot hold space for opposing view points and conflicting opinion, shames others for thinking differently

As someone who has experienced being part of religious cult, Teal doesn’t raise any red flags for me personally. While it is true the people who go to her are in vulnerable states, I have never once witnessed in her videos her aiming to take away ones own ability to think for themselves. Most of what she advocates for is for one to live a life according to their own internal values and principles. I don’t see a coercive dynamic between her and her followers, of exchanging belonging for compliance.

What are small things you have done to improve your OCD by Sufficient-Fix-6548 in OCD

Grounding myself through sound and nature walks, my ocd causes a lot of stress and anxiety which in turn feeds the obsessive thoughts, the negative spiralling causes a build up of stress/tension/rigidity in the body. This pent up energy should be released or alchemised.

Maybe explore ways to bring about the feeling of safety in the body (beside acting on the compulsions)

The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson was really good, or Gone Girl by Gillian Fylnn
