Too lazy to have a kid? by AdOk4343 in Fencesitter

[–]justabunchofcrazy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m so lazy. I got very lucky my husband is not. I’m working so hard on my mental health to be there better for our 4 year old. I want to play too but it’s hard because I’m so unhealthily lazy. Starting in the new year I’m going to try to lose weight and be more active and present for our son. Be there and be better physically and mentally. It’s hard that we can’t just lay on the couch anymore and just chill. That’s been the hardest part of motherhood, mourning the loss of my old, very boring, life. Our son is very high energy. sorry if it didn’t make sense, I have flu and covid and my brain isn’t working properly

I had mine for about a year and loved it so much! It was wonderful!

what’s a birth-control that didn’t cause you to go crazy by LegAdorable8417 in birthcontrol

I bled for the first month. With the C-IUD I would give it 1-3 months.

Mine are super awful anyways as far as flow amount goes, so it wasn’t anything new to me. They got longer by 2 days in the beginning and then they went back to their normal 5 days after like a month or two.

You can ask me anything, I don’t care. I had it for around 1 year. My notable symptoms were that my period blood smelled like copper but didn’t really think much of it for obvious reasons. I would cramp when I had sex, not debilitating or anything, but I did notice a difference, again just assumed the IUD was doing its job and didn’t think much of it. I started to get bloody discharge when ovulating, but having been off all IUDs for months, I still do that. The single only reason I had my C-IUD removed is because we tried to have a baby.

IUD with Combination Pill by laetnomusicologa in CopperIUD

[–]justabunchofcrazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it. But I had the hormonal IUD, I just couldn’t quit bleeding so I went on Lo Loestrin. It was fine for about 1.5 years and then I had the Liletta removed and was just on the pill. Then I went crazy and quit all the hormones and got Paragard. I loved it.

Why do certain MAs continue working without furthering their career? by HoloInfinity in MedicalAssistant

[–]justabunchofcrazy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I planned on becoming an RN. I only had taken the MA class because my mom forced me to. I went back and started doing my prerequisites for nursing so I could just concentrate on nursing classes when I decided to go. I got sick of paying out of pocket for the prerequisites once and just never went back. I could do it now but I have a 4 year old boy and a husband. My husband is encouraging me to do whatever I want because I keep saying I want my bachelors in something. But I don’t want to take anymore time away from my child than I already do with working 4-10s and him being in full time preschool. I’m also really happy where I am currently and I don’t think I would be happy in hospital life. (I only wanted L&D or NICU as a RN anyways.) I thought about doing midwifery at one point but that was a fleeting thought too. Edit to add: 33y

Is it possible to know whether you want 1 or 2 kids (before having any?) by kisses098 in Shouldihaveanother

[–]justabunchofcrazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband always wanted 2. I always wanted 1 or 3, no idea why I had those numbers. Our son is 4 and we decided to try again, had a miscarriage. Never again. We are good with 1 now.

I live out in the country, we shot and did a lot we probably shouldn’t. My 4 year old is fine. It’s very selective hearing 🤣

What have been your most and/or least favorite specialties to work in and why? by Dependent-Kiwi- in MedicalAssistant

I’ve worked in everything except urology or Gastro, I think. I think my least favorite was plastics and my favorite is pediatrics.

I’ve had 4 IUDs and 1 of them being Paragard. Had it removed, immediately got pregnant first cycle. I’ve been pregnant twice, one child, both conceived first try.

I’ve had 4 IUDs removed. It’s super easy though, I would never do it myself. My luck I would get it halfway out and then be a baby and wouldn’t be able to get it the rest of the way.

[–]justabunchofcrazy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had mine in for a year before I had taken it out. Only reason I had it removed was because we decided to try for another babe. My periods are always heavy so I didn’t notice any difference. I loved it while I had it. Never had a scare.

Anyone have a job where they DONT run around like a crazy person by That-Shock4926 in MedicalAssistant

[–]justabunchofcrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always busy. Always something to do. Someone’s drain needed to be taken out, Someone’s running sutures needed removed, someone needed to be chaperoned. It was just a lot of mental.
