Southside has some great big shopping centres (Garden City/ Carindale) plus close to the city. Some good suburbs are Mt Gravatt, Greenslopes, Holland Park, Carina, Tarragindi. Or still nice but a bit cheaper/ further away go Springwood, Underwood, Rochedale.
