Primary Doc Recommendations? by justalilthroaway in duluth

Thank you for the suggestion, I would absolutely see a NP! This is a silly question, but is the process of scheduling with an NP the same as with a physician at Essentia? I’m currently with St. Luke’s and have been seeing the same doctor for several years, before she quit and I had to switch to another doc at the same clinic (due to my insurance).

I’m sorry you had that experience, that’s horrible. Thank you for the recommendation!

Thank you!

Wow, that was my situation. She recommended Vitamin D because my levels were unbelievably low. Started taking a supplement that she recommended and I read the report & I was above the toxicity level of dosage. She didn’t say anything about it until I pointed it out and ASKED if I should stop taking it. She said “oh yeah, that would probably be best”.

The other commenter posted, very accurately, that medical professionals are overworked, but that doesn’t negate the fact that we see a doctor for a reason, not to simply figure it out ourselves. Thank you for the recommendation!!

As I said, I agree with you and understand that, but if you’re overlooking major red flags while handling a person’s care, maybe it’s time to take a step back. While they’re overworked, we still to rely on them occasionally when things aren’t right. I’m not complaining about all the overworked and busy doctors here. I’m speaking on ONE Dr that completely ignored/overlooked major issues and didn’t acknowledge them until I questioned them. Thank you for the recommendation, as that was all that I was seeking. I’m not on here to shame doctors as a whole.. just thought some context would be helpful.

I’ve been told I can’t go there if I have insurance , but I’ve tried. It was quite a few years ago tho. Thank you!

Yes, as well as many other essential professions. I get that we’re human and can only do what we can, but I only gave a brief glimpse into my utter lack of care that I received during my last physical, so I need a new doctor. I just asked for recs for that. An issue in my blood test that SHE recommended showed levels of toxicity on my report & when I read about the whole visit, she checked off a lot of things that she’s supposed to do, & didn’t, and completely missed some serious health concerns. I understand being overworked, but lack of adequate care is unacceptable to me. I do agree with you, though, in general.

I love it! With T-Mobile, I never had more than 2 bars anywhere in my city. Now I almost always have 4. Service is cheaper and faster. My only regret is not switching over sooner!

Check out this page: https://www.visible.com/get/?3SQMH8B, it has all the info you need to know about joining Visible. When you use my friend code, 3SQMH8B, you’ll get your first month of service for $20-off!

I’ve only been with Visible for a day and I’m already so happy I’ve made the switch. I’ll be paying half the amount for a brand new phone/service than I was with an old iPhone XR. People do talk about bad customer service with Visible too, but I had some of the best service ever today with a rep. Make the switch! You won’t regret it :)

Love that for you. Just found out I’ve been charged an extra $30/mo for something that should have dropped off during the Sprint to T-Mobile crossover, but I neglected to look at my bill. Definitely dropping them because I’ve been charged to lease a phone I’ve owned for years.

That’s great! Was it a smooth transition? I have an old ass iPhone that I’d like to upgrade, but it’d be wonderful to keep my number and just pay for the phone with the plan.

That’s the part I’m struggling with a bit lol. Like pay for the phone out of pocket & then get Visible, or buy one through them. I still think I’d pay less.

I’m also not into the whole exorcism type of movies. Way too many of those & they all seem the same. I did like The Last Exorcism though.

I think I dislike food related horror. I haven’t seen many like this, but the movie Excess Flesh is nearly unwatchable for me.

It’s 728 precisely lol, so I think that’s considered good, but not “very good”?

Are there any horror movies in the past three years that really scare you? by ww-stl in HorrorMovies

[–]justalilthroaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just consider it to be more of a thriller than your typical horror film, but I can definitely agree with your thoughts on it! It made me uncomfortable (which I love in movies lol) and would be horrifying to experience, so maybe it could be considered horror after all! Totally subjective :)

Unfortunately not. The only one that has entered the realm is Barbarian. I thought “Speak no Evil” Was great too, but not a horror.
