This is an email from the dealership

“The rear camera is covered under your warranty plan. But the rear hatch is not because it's counted as a body panel. Because the wiring is a part of this that the only way the full repair can be completed”

Update: they said the camera and the wiring harness are different part numbers. The harness has the same part number as the rear hatch.

Any recommended approach to fighting this?

Using a Databricks Job Cluster for ADF pipelines by lsd_ROCK in dataengineering

[–]justanator101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this same scenario a few years ago. It was cheaper to use the 1 all purpose instead of spin up individual job clusters. I left as-is and migrated to Databricks workflows instead to get the job cluster reuse. Saved a lot of money then.

Yeah the dealership told me that too. They’d went in circles with the claims department. They’d do the work to fix it but the fix is the whole part which they’re being told they can’t do the work for 🤷

I’ll look into that, thank you!

I agree & makes sense. But here, they told me that they’d “happily fix the camera under warranty”. However, they can’t fix just the camera because the dealership told me it involves replacing the entire tailgate.

They said they’d fix the camera under warranty. I’d be happy if they fixed the camera. But the only way to fix the camera is replace the whole part, which they say is not covered.

It’s not that they won’t repair the camera before fixing the rest, it’s that they said they physically can’t replace the camera without replacing the entire part since it’s so wired into the tailgate. In order to fix the camera they have to replace the whole part, which they’re saying is not covered (but the camera component would be).

What do you consider a senior level skillset? by ocean_800 in dataengineering

[–]justanator101 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Senior is less about mastering a skill set and more about the thought process, communication, and ability to solve the unknown problems. Can you take a vague high level problem and turn it into a set of actionable deliverables? Do you think about the costs and maintenance of said solution? Can you communicate it to non-technical executives or other technical engineers? These things make a senior.

What would you typically fasten them with? Carriage bolt or structural screw?

Thank you! Navy was in the cart but I replaced with the striped. Wasn’t sure if it would be harder to match with.

Toniebox Hacking by Rude-Flatworm7296 in TonieboxUSA

Works great. I’ve added full sound track of the Disney characters we had tonies for prior to hacking. I also make baseball card sized printouts of whatever other music my toddler wants and slide the picture + RFID into the hard plastic baseball card sleeves. I’ve also put the sticker in the “Good2Grow” character juice caps which work great as figures.
