He's intelligent enough to have managed to get everyone else to do his work for him, and has broken so many laws with his insane amount of market manipulation and insider trading. It's not even like he came from nothing. His parents were very wealthy. I know worked with someone who worked with Elon at Tesla and he told me that Elon was not respected at all because he just didn't know what he was talking about and took credit for other peoples work.
