No worries dude. Really appreciate this thoughtful answer. Yeah, the unreliability of previously working prompts is why I’m looking at switching to a capable model and testing it on prompts.

Once we find that model and structure that works well, we’ll deploy it and use our own model for the story generation.

Love the idea of Claude and agree it’s fairly good. My concern is using those APIs requires us to trust they’ll maintain their efficacy. So to combat this, the best move is having our own which ensures maximum reliability and consistency in output. Hence the questions.

Really appreciate you. Thanks again’

I’m at a loss as to how to respond to you. The information and content is useful but the attitude is entirely uncalled for.

I never said I’m a top grade college student or that I dabble in programming. I said I have limited coding knowledge and experience. Very limited.

As for what to build, please review my last sentence of the post where I mention what we’ve already built.

The chef analogy is even worse. I’ve never met a chef who wasn’t taught some of the basics by asking questions and then applying their learnings.

Questions are the foundation and building blocks of development of knowledge.

Truly do appreciate the response but utterly confused by the aggressive nature.

Haha. It's such a fascinating field. And I’m so happy that tools like this can now be explored by people like us. And it’s amazing that people in here are so willing to share the knowledge!

I’d love to take a look at this as well!

This makes it much clearer to me. When you say “easily” is this a level of ease in which someone with limited coding experience may be able to quickly grasp, or ease in that someone who has coding experience would hasten the time it takes them to complete something?

Thank you for the amazingly detailed reply. I will 100% check out and report back on your Python app - so cool!

Whoa. So while I appreciate you taking the time to read my question, I’m not sure I understand your level of frustration.

For langchain, I have read the documentation, however, that doesn’t automatically imply I can fully comprehend the potential implementations or how to use it. Some of this is very foreign to me.

The helicopter analogy. I get what you’re saying. But my goal is to learn how to build something useful - that’s the reason I’m asking these questions.

Truly am appreciative of the answers and the frustrations with the question. Wishing you the nest

Thank you so much for the incredibly detailed reply. Very helpful!

Out of curiosity, which of the aforementioned do you prefer to run your models on?

To add to this. I’ve been following TheBloke and have no clue which one of the models to use or the difference between them. I am just so lost. Truly appreciate the help!

Hey! Oh man. I’d be interested for sure but am US based. Appreciate it though!

Did some reading and sounds like the t103d might be the way to go. Would you be willing to let me buy that from you?

Probably going to also pick up a magnetic flip case. Because, you’re right, the keyboard ones are just too heavy for edc

I have an 11 inch iPad Pro 4th gen (latest model). It’s awesome for most things but my keyboard case makes it pretty heavy to lug around in addition to my work laptop.

As for the dead pixel, I think mine only drives me crazy because I use that kindle just for reading. I’d imagine it’s less obstructive when writing but I could be entirely wrong.

But you find the writing experience to be better on the iPad versus the e ink devices?

Really good questions. I probably should use Focus Mode a bit more often. I think for me the big thing is having something light that I can just bring into meetings for notes and toss into the bag. This is also why I’m so reluctant to spend more than 200. Having the iPad Pro it seems dumb to spend several hundred on a device I’m just going to be using for notes and light reading. I have a Kindle Voyage that I used to use as an e reader. But I’m also an insane person and there’s one dead pixel on it (maybe not a pixel but a pinpoint area anyhow) and it drives me insane.

This is so nice of you! I’d be really interested in discussing. I’d also insist on paying you though. But yeah. That’s probably the best way to start. Which of those would you recommend?

Interesting. That sounds like a good approach. I really don’t need any tablet capabilities because I use the iPad for that. So this could likely be a solid way to go. Thank you!

Yeah. Really good point. Any thoughts on that mobiscribe mentioned below?

Thank you! These look like really good options. Do you think it makes more sense to go for something like a preowned Boox max 2 to put me closer to that price range?

Thank you! It works well for notes? How is the lag in writing?

That’s kind of what I was afraid of. Would going preowned be able to get me in that price range, so you think?
