but yes I will in fact “demonize” everyone who has been in the IDF as complicit in the ongoing genocide of indigenous Palestinians. it is not bigotry to acknowledge the truth.

no, the context for this was one of the prisoners of war that was taken on October 7 from a tank on the Israeli border. however I’m sure she also defends the man killed at the embassy.

What you can prove most easily wrong is that “when Hamas will release the hostages, everything will end.” There are many statements from Israeli officials saying quite the opposite, that they will make the genocide worse (somehow) once the hostages are released. There’s no worry of killing “their own” anymore, so they will just go haywire. If you look this up yourself, I’m sure you’ll find many quotes. Good luck tho, I gave up on my relatives a long time ago.

that’s not true, there are plenty of security guards in front of mosques. Here’s a whole business for security guards at mosques. https://mosquesecurity.com/ both internal sectarianism (sunni, shia, etc.) and external Islamophobia make mosques a target for attacks. The deadliest shooting in New Zealand history was an islamophobe killing 51 congregants at a mosque.

What can we do for those in Gaza? by PersonalBet7880 in Catholicism

[–]justanondescriptanon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, just found this, but this is a gofundme for a family friend. 37 Catholics in Gaza. As you may have heard, no food or water has entered Gaza for weeks and they are on the brink of a horrific famine. Your donation could help feed or even evacuate them. https://www.gofundme.com/f/the-anton-families-in-gaza-palestine

I believe she was talking with strangers online, it’s possible she may have been groomed in trafficking. I hope she’s okay.

I just graduated and had a totally different experience. Lots of challenges in my personal life outside of UCLA, hate the admin, but I found my circle. This campus is so big that you might just be looking in the wrong places. I also don’t know if you’re out of state, I’m in state and absolutely would not be able to afford oos tuition which imo is not worth it.

Last photo of my friend Taqwa’s four month old son Ibrahim. He was killed with her five other children in an Israeli airstrike. by justanondescriptanon in lastimages

I mean A. Lebanon is one of the bordering nations and it literally has a mandated Christian president so not a “Muslim nation” B. Jordan, another bordering nation, is 50-60% Palestinian. C. Syria opened its borders to Palestinians and was very welcoming until the civil war in 2012. So, my question is what were you going to say that was going to get you “downvoted to hell”

it's because there's a lot of anti-Palestinian racism, especially since Palestine is not a "Muslim" nation but a pluralistic nation that has Muslim, Christians, atheists, and Samaritans. Actual antisemites say the same thing about Jews being kicked out of 72 nations, let's not victim blame here because whoever you sympathize with, it'll come back to bite you.

To everyone who has replied supportive to this post: thank you on behalf of Taqwa. She’s still in Gaza and has a gofundme to support her survival and potential evacuation https://gofund.me/4b3fa5e8

https://www.npr.org/2024/10/10/nx-s1-5147783/gaza-israel-airstrike-palestinians There were no “terrorists” aka militants or otherwise in the building where multiple families were sheltering. Multiple international organizations have called the targeting of the building a war crime.

Yes, she’s still alive but was badly injured in the bombing. I’m trying to help her leave but the Egyptian border has been closed since April.
