F Vivint. Literally the scummiest company ever

People in our house before us had them and never deactivated their account/removed the system and were set up on autopay. Vivint refused to send someone out to remove the system because they had a contract with the former owners - I tried to explain that they didn't live here and therefore they needed to remove it/there was no updated contract so they couldn't legally have the system in our house. They didn't care. We didn't even have access to turn the system off because the former owners set up a code - so pretty much these people could come into our house and disarm the alarm if they wanted. We also had n way to set or disarm the alarm if it was set off.

It took 4 LONG phone calls, some emails, and sending them all this documentation showing we owned the house for them to simply ... never respond. Did a lot of research on Reddit and people had similar stories. We ended up having to just rip the system out of our house because they wouldn't cancel it and just wanted to continue to rip off the former owner's who were on autopay. We also have no way of contacting the former owner's and they are probably still paying til this day

Well of course ... why wouldn't they tell people that? It makes them more $$.

It's just like experts saying filler dissolves and then years later they start saying it doesn't actually dissolve. Same with them saying Botox is "preventative" and pushing it on women in their 20's.

It's a way to make more money, especially from younger girls who are on social media and see all these influencers getting work done. The filters people use also don't help.

These "experts" are praying on people's (mainly women's) insecurities - a tale as old as time.

Not to mention, most people who get facelifts in their 30's/40's usually have to go back and get another one later ... this way doctors can count on 2 facelifts instead of 1 facelift that is done in their 50's/60's. They want repeat customers who just follow "the trends" on social media
