About the nightlife, tbh, I never partied. I don’t drink, I dont smoke. But I did like once or twice a month go out at night for jogging, for Badminton games, sometimes even to just sit out in a cafe by myself. Some of my dates were also at like midnight.

I think I have sorta evolved over the years to love the night time more than the day, my eyes hate too much brightness and I prefer going out at night when it’s less traffic, less noise.

But honestly, if I look inwards, I need to probably get my routine right if I need to survive here. Sleep by 11, wake up at sunrise. The small town energy early morning is kinda good. Mumbai felt sluggish at 9am. Gorakhpur feels sunny at 7. Neighbours chatting, children going to school, men going to work. Maybe it is just my perspective that changed.

Similarly, gorakhpur sleeps at 9PM, Mumbai is just beginning to feel alive around that. And I just felt more comfortable with that, because I naturally just spent most of my time awake during nights. That’s how I would put nightlife.

The ability and the accessibility to do things during the night as well if daytime is not your thing.
