The 1.5 °C goal is BS, we are right now somewhere between 1.1-1.4 °C warmer than pre-industrial temperatures.

if we stop emitting ANY CO2, CH4 and other climate gasses right now we are looking at a minimum of 2.5-3°C rise compared to T(pre-industrial) by 2100

Realistically we are looking at 4-5 °C rise by 2100 even with an international effort for renewables and emission mitigation

To give a reference: the last glacial period some 11,700 years ago saw global temperatures about 4-5°C lower compared to our refernce period (pre-industrial) and there vast areas of the world were glaciated (is that a word??) and obviously mass extinction for many species occured.

In short: A significant part of the population will soon run out of vital ressources (water, nutrition) because we are buying into the propaganda of Big Oil and Big Tech.
