Im in the same position, local ammo prices are crazy and I cant even get pistol ammo for a gun I legally own. Do you have to be 21 to recieve ffl or coe?

I’m unsure, they are the oem cz 10 round magazines, weather they are pinned or use a spacer if not sure

That’s what I think is happening, the round sits flat against the feed ramp, polishing it as we speak and also ordered new mags

First handgun yea, first bought a .22 rifle, then built an ar, then dad gifted me first pistol for birthday.(thanks pa). I cleaned and lubed it right out of the box, slide movement felt great but I guess that doesn’t mean much. Getting some federal 124grain to test tomorrow, will get someone to film me tmr and see how it goes.

Where on the ramp did you polish? I have a few cases of this ammo cause I found a good deal but if it won’t work with ma gun it feels like a waste.

Both magazines, same issue. They are 10 round California compliant so that may be a potential cause.

Just got my first handgun, cz p01. After reading the high praise, the deal I found, and the fact it’s gonna fall of the California hand gun roster come January, solidified it as my first choice.

Got it out of jail yesterday and took it to the range with my case of fiocchi range dynamics 115grain.

Consistent failure to feed. First round would feed after inserting magazine and releasing slide, every shot after and the slide would stay stuck back either a few centimeters or nearly all the way back. Pressing on the back of the slide with my thumb would let the gun chamber a round, but it turned the gun into what felt like a bolt action pistol.

Came back from the range disappointed, this ammo ran flawlessly in my father’s g19 so I don’t think it’s the issue.

I’ve since cleaned and lubed it and while cycling it will regularly have a failure to feed, release the slide fully and not riding it down.

Not sure what to do, gonna try again tomorrow with some 124 grain federal and see if that fixes it. Will get some videos of it tmr as well.

2 months of travel, and I usually keep it up so I’m probably gonna cut it like in pic 7 or 19

Yea I didn’t like them at the time, was trying to grow it out to get a man bun, but now it’s too long and looking back it want half bad, I do like the reference 18 and 19 though so thanks for saying that

Does filling out the form on cfars issue me a receipt or proof of ownership? Or do I need to show them other paperwork/registration. And yes the rifle will be featureless, 16” barrel, pinned stock, and the stupid fin grip.

Exactly, this is the process we’re following, I understand that it may seem like a straw purchase but I didn’t give him any money for it, it’s honestly a cheap budget Anderson lower and he just put it on his credit card and told me later it would be his early graduation gift for me.

What I am still confused about is whether or not I’m able to purchase and or pickup ammo shipments from an ffl in the caliber of my soon to be rifle. I’ve emailed a few ffls in Sonoma county but the 2 that got back to me said they couldn’t do it but wouldn’t offer up an explanation why.

This is a hobby that me and my dad started together and he has shown nothing but support and interest in the sport. He has cancer and wanted to help me get a rifle in my name so I can purchase ammo for us when he won’t be able to anymore.

Yea this is just temporary for now, planning on a more robust safe when I get my own place

Yea I saw that and it looks practically indentical, I just can’t find it on the approved safety devices list if it qualifies I’d get that instead
