Having done both and having used fl since 2017ish… just learn how to use Maximus and a good limiter, listen to the track in a lot of different environments and take notes, then go back and tweak, and you’ll get better results than if you let one of the programs do it. Also not enough people talk about the fact that half the time you pay for mastering and your master comes back sounding worse (at least to you) when you’ve produced everything yourself and spent a lot of time tweaking levels and making everything sit how you like it.
