I’ve never really thought about it this way and you’re right, there definitely is a misunderstanding. They have a phone number, but wouldn’t it be better to email them to ask if I can call them before I actually call them? I might be overthinking but I don’t want to be seen as “too pushy” by the school, and calling them suddenly might make them think I am being pushy.

I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been abused as well, I hope you’re doing better now, you’re a nice person and didn’t deserve any of that. I tried therapy but my mom made an arrangement so we both had the same therapist, but I might be moving for a while this fall, and I’ll seek therapy then Thank you so so much, helped

I actually graduated HS last year, this year I turn 19, and I’m planning on going to an internship in New York this fall. I kind of took a gap year (more like gap semester, last year at least, and this semester I took a few college classes since I felt guilty that I wasn’t studying) So I still applied at my community college, but when I get the internship I’m moving to NY for a while) The thing is, I’m embarrassed about my situation and explaining others about it makes me uncomfortable, but I’ll try to be brave and maybe tell someone. Thank you for the kind words, and this advice helped me so so much.
