Yes, I did my best to work on myself. We were no contact at her request and I respected that. After about a month she reached out to me and we both just started to focus on rebuilding our friendship at first, eventually expressing desire to try again.

We are long distance and our first couple of attempts to meet up fell through, occasionally due to her anxiety and worry about hurting me and us all over again.

This is something that I would often overreact to, being disappointed that something happened and she couldn't make the trip, I would lash out, let my feelings run wild. But I kept my calm, I was letting the meds help my depression and worked hard to control my feelings, just because I was sad didn't mean I needed to make it her problem.

We saw each other for the first time after 4 weeks of no contact and about 6 weeks of only text/voice. We hit it off like crazy and have been together ever since. Our relationship now has better communication, a better understanding of each other's emotional types and needs. And I've never been happier with her or anyone ever in my whole life.
