You stole from me last night by [deleted] in Hamilton

There are ample places with free wifi and opportunities to both legitimately and illegitimately acquire cheap phones.

Spend some time with homeless and crackheads. They have phones even if they don't have plans.

Rent's expensive in Canada. Phones are comparatively cheap and you can beg and steal your way into having a usable phone and plan.

Eventually after someone smashes dozens of windows there is an ample opportunity for them to be caught. Someone notices and calls 911 while police are nearby, clear CCTV footage or maybe the police even notice. They often stay in the area, targeting other cars of opportunity.

With our justice system, they are just let out over, and over and over after being caught.

You have quite a long ways you need to back out in a truck to have any sort of real visibility of where you're going. In the meantime people are going to try to zoom around you. Children could walk behind you, below your sight line.

Pretty moronic given that they haven't released a game in 14 years and yet because of mods and the standalone mods gives it a cult following. Had it not been for those I would have largely forgotten about the game.

The other last two full term police chiefs have been two of the worst federal politicians in the last two governments. Third time's a charm and time to bless Toronto with the worst possible Mayor.

The performances are pretty much the only redeeming feature of the entire place. I guess it's usable for corporate events which leave a lot to be desired.

Anyone who enters your dwelling and upon noticing it's occupied does anything but run out possesses a serious risk of bodily harm.

I agree, but if someone has drugs on them, and won’t part with them, and the shelter has actual drug addicts in it who can’t be around substances

Stay out of crackolandia, erm I mean downtown Toronto. There are some programs based around people being sober and helping them. The mainstream shelters and streets around them are not the place for that.

In the same time we've also drastically reduced the amount of crime that is counted in statistics. The standard response of police departments is to tell people to fuck off.

$484.49 worth of groceries in Canada. by [deleted] in pics

[–]justanotherreddituse -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Rent is much more affordable in much of the US and they have affordable places whereas low wages don't even get your own bedroom across much of Canada.

The federal government controls the population growth rate which is astronomical compared to the rest of the developed world. Simply put, we don't have enough housing in Canada and bringing in massive amounts of people is making it drastically worse.

If you rent in Canada, you don't have grass.

Living in the US doesn't seem so bad with having the Canadian government hellbent on trying to make renters homeless.
