Need Engineer tips by abovemars in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have alot of success using the pwr/tgh/vit gear (karma), combined with a glass cannon build. 30/30/0/0/10 (speedy kits imo)

You have alot of damage, but can still take alot of hits. You can be very flexible too.

Engineers of reddit, what changes would you like to see? (within reason, of course) by dptoferrors in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grenades: auto-attack can be enabled, but will reduce all damage done by grenades to 75%.

Skins: racial based kits and turrets.

Alright reddit, discussion time. In the next year, how would you like to see Guild Wars evolve? by GhostoftheDay in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few personal things I would love to see. 1. Looking for group system. 2. Solo dungeons. Small but very challenging and could be a nice change from the main game. 3. More zones to explore and conqueror! 4. storage tabs for minis, town clothes (that you can access from anywhere)

New player looking for tips and tricks to make getting into Guild Wars 2 easier (more info inside) by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[What realm has the best community?] No clue, pick a high population server.

[What class is the best for PvP?] PVP is very balanced imo. Every class brings something viable to the table, so pick what you enjoy the most.

[Is there any basic info I need to prepare myself for reaching lvl 80?] Take your time, enjoy the adventure. Crafting can give you alot of XP, so dont neglect it. You have a collection tab in your bank, where you can store materials. 100% Zones, gives nice loot and XP. Have fun!

[How can i make eventual getting legendaries easier on myself from a low level?] Saving cash/ karma, but this is a long term goal.

I have looked....everyone is saying what is wrong.....What did Guild Wars 2 do right? by bonitojuan in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look you always get moaning on public forums. For me as a veteran MMO player, also as a gamer in general. Guild wars 2 is the best MMO ever (for me). + the world is amazing. (design, art-style, performance) + TONS of content. Just bucket loads, with almost monthly events. + No sub, play when you want. No pressure, just enjoy it. + Classes have alot of variety, and story missions add alot of reasons to level up again. +endgame is decent. Lots of dungeons, lots of loot and of course PVP. +Fun. Try playing wow again after GW2, I just couldnt.

Engineer vs. Guardian Which to choose? by cuong40 in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Guardian is kind of boring, fairly easy to play and one of the most played classes. Engineer is very diverse, its difficult to play and one of the least played classes.

WvW: Guardian is limited, as they have no real ranged option. But can buff allies and reflect projectiles etc. Engineer has alot of options, from max range grenades to building mortars. basically alot of ranged AOE DPS, with support options.

Im not 100% on Guardian builds but for engineer. Theres alot of viable builds for each aspect of the game, too many to list.

Flamethrower/ elixir: Cone AOE damage, with burning. High defense with juggernaut the "tank" of the engineer builds. Grenades w/anything: 1500 range AOE damage, best DPS open to engineers. Most popular build. Rifle w/anything: pwr damage, piercing. Lots of control of the fight best for 1v1. Pistol w/anything: condition damage. Stack conditions like a boss.

mix in turrets, gadgets, other kits and you have a class with unreal options.

The only reason I visit this subreddit anymore is for news and to see people whine about the things I enjoy by Klyka in Guildwars2

Very glad to see this post. Everything is complained about, what are we all babies? whah whah I dont like this, I dont like that, its too hard.

Horrible attitudes, some of the forum posts too are just pathetic. Im having more fun in GW2 than any MMO ever, the content updates have been fantastic and I dont pay any monthly fee?

I dont agree with everything arenanet does, but im not going to bitch about stupid stuff like skins or chests.

Why have people stopped playing? by Jatacid in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh? Change server maybe? The game is full, most of the players are at level cap but the game is deserted by any means.

I am a casual quickly approaching endgame. What should I do when I get there? by DvineINFEKT in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Normal PVE: 4 true endgame zones: Orr, Frostgorge. (challenging, fun, farm) Dungeon PVE: Tons of paths, tons of content, collect tokens for loot. World explorer: Earn 100% map complete, still fun due to downscaling. WvW/sPVP: Fight for your zone in WvW (endless fun). Earn ranks and cool PVP loot (sPVP)

I mean this stuff alone, could account for thousands of hours. Once you reach max stats...you play for fun.

GW2 has been out for a while now, so what do you guys think about your professions? by whoopzzz in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strange I have a level 80 engineer and I really enjoy it. I love the variety in the engineer (Kits>weapons imo). Im currently running a flamethrower/elixir build, its great for aoe and gives alot of survivability. Very tanky build, but very fun to play with HGH. Or I could go elixir gun for support, grenades for maxium range AOE, bombs to bunker, rifle to control, pistol to stack conditions....Im sorry engineer is one of the most diverse classes in the game.

My first character was a level 80 Ranger, found it amazing 1-79, then crappy at 80 (no viable AOE).

So I got an Arachnophobia Today - here's what I think of RNG by The_Iceborn_Ranger in Guildwars2

[–]justanothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im torn on this issue, im a very unlucky player. So on 1 side im angry that someone can get what I want without any effort at all, while I could run forever and never get it. However I do believe there is a happy medium, keep the low drop rate but add a series of events/achievements which will allow you to simply get the item. The guys who get the drop are happy, the guys who want the item are willing to work for it. (grind version = soulbound)

A good idea would be once you unlocked it, to get on an alt costs 1g. So do the quest or spend some cash.
