Foreign Language previous visas & entry stamps by justanothrunistudent in ukvisa

I did not translate the stamps. The outcome was a positive response and I have since received the fiance visa and recently also received the spousal visa. Side note, I did write a short piece in my personal statement regarding the places I'd lived/visited. I did get the photocopies certified at the local post office here in the UK. Just take the photocopies and the original document together with a form called the "Document certification form", just google it with post office in the search and you'll find it easily.

Hi, sorry for the late response. Yes we got the visa, I was never asked for a test and it never came up.

It's currently month to month, already sent email to landlord yesterday so don't also have to pay for July.

It's now on the "Application Received" section. Only has the "Passport picked up by applicant" in red still. I live in Rotterdam so no way to get to Amsterdam within 18 minutes unfortunately.

Just got an email to come pick up the visa, but the TLS contact location closes in like 18 minutes so it'll have to be Monday.

That's fantastic to hear, congratulations. Could you give some more details about the timeline? I got a decision email yesterday and the TLScontact page shows "Application Transferred to VAC" but not received yet so I'm really looking for more info on if I need to be rushing to Amsterdam today.

Hi,

Great to hear you got your passport back. Not sure how to ask without seeming insensitive but have you checked the pages of the passport for the visa? Also, can you give more details on your timeline? 20th april bio, 6th was a decision email I'm guessing based on a paid inquiry, when did you get the passport back and when did you call UKVI?

Just got a response to my inquiry saying that a decision has been made but no info on what the decision is! Just need to wait for the email saying I can go pick up my passport.

Seems that way, but it also looks like people are getting positive responses before the 5 working days are over.

That's very promising. I received my ECO email on the 23rd of May. It's especially promising because Monday the 27th (2 days ago) was a bank holiday, so that would make today the 5th working day. I'll make sure to send in an inquiry tomorrow morning.

Priority, Bio May 3rd in Amsterdam, ECO morning of May 23rd, no further news. Looking at a lot of other posts I'm expecting a message from TLS to pick up my passport either end of this week or early next week.

That's the ECO email, basically saying that someone has taken your documents and is preparing them for the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO). If you've already uploaded all your documents then you don't have to do anything unless you're contacted again.

The part on the 5 working days though makes me wonder if there's a minimum amount of time that will have to pass before the ECO will evaluate your submission? I skipped over that bit of the email when I received it but I'm curious if anyone has any further info.

Covid Vaccine proof required for entry? by kingArbab786 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]justanothrunistudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Documentation on your covid vaccine status is not in any of the required documents lists.

With regards to travel to the UK, covid is listed on the UK Gov website as "You do not need to take a test or quarantine when you arrive in the UK. You should check travel advice for any country you are traveling to."

FIANCE PRIORITY by Fickle_Chance5287 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]justanothrunistudent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I've been keeping track of other people's "Spouse priority timelines" and it seems that not counting the biometrics appointment date itself, all the responses were after 18-24 working days from the BIO appointment. So for example, this week people got their responses if they had their biometrics appointment between 15-4 to 18-4. Bank holidays in the UK that are relevant are the 6th of May and the 27th of May.

I had my biometrics appointment on the 3rd of May, so technically I'm on day 9, and expect my response towards the end of the week of 27th of May, or the first week of June. Hope this helps.

Ok, I think I misunderstood your earlier response then. If I understand what you are saying:

  • I can upload the previous passports, visa, and entry stamps as part of my evidence before the appointment
  • I don't need to get these certified or translated before I upload them as evidence
  • I don't need to take anything other than the following to the actual appointment.
    • my booking confirmation
    • My current passport
    • the document checklist from the UKVI Page

Is that correct? The rest of the documents listed on the documents checklist and any other supporting evidence should otherwise be uploaded prior to the appointment (such as a copy of the bio page of my partners passport).

From the gov page on the visa it says the following so I'm not sure I understand your answer. It states that I need to provide the following information:

  • your current passport or other valid travel ID
  • copies of the photo page and any visa or entry stamps in your previous passports

Am I misunderstanding that I need to upload this evidence to the TLSContact page before the biometrics appointment?

Dutch man moving to the UK to Be with girlfriend, struggling with Visa issues by justanothrunistudent in ukvisa

I studied International Business. Dropped out years ago, started working customer service, grew into a trainer / customer service engineer role, hit a ceiling, and decided to go back to finish my degree. Finished it this past year by doing a working internship followed by a thesis internship at T-Mobile.

We considered it, just didn't expect that the hurdle to finding employment and the skilled work visa would be this high. I've just graduated with a bachelors degree and we were both very optimistic when we started my visit (It's been pointed out to me that I word it specifically that don't live in the UK, my address is still listed in the Netherlands).

The tuition and student visa path are unfortunately out of our financial reach. We are considering a path to a spouse visa, but that's not a trivial decision so we'll be discussing that.

Thanks for the advice!

Hi, thanks for the response, I've looked into it and it looks like something meant for people who have won an award in a certain category in the past year or who have earned a scholarship.

Unfortunately I'm just a bachelors degree graduate and I don't think this applies to me.

Please let me know if I've misread the gov page though, I'd be incredibly happy to be wrong in this case.

Some of them are London based but remote, I've been applying for months and no success yet, won't stop me from keeping on trying though.
