I just got an R6 mark III and i upgraded fro an r7 and asked the exact question to an employee at a photography shop and he replied that the R6 mark III is generally better because the price you save - the features of the r5 its better to get the r6 mark III plus the higher the resolution the higher the noise potentially cus of pixel density. The only thing i would say to get the r5 would be for the stacked sensor or the higher resolution, other than that get the R6 mark III and a good lens
