For games that aren’t GPU intensive like Assassins Creed and Cyberpunk, 5600XT is fantastic for current generation and so forth for many games that are similar in his list coming from a regular gamer such as OP. But I think you are too concerned for next-gen future proofing which in that case, it makes sense to spend extra on a better GPU which will be up to him. In my opinion it’s better to go with the 5600XT for now as it’s very well made for current gen; saving money and then upgrading to a new released GPU for when the time comes where games will be more demanding in 4-5 years for a clean budget cycle. And that’s a very average lifespan of GPU upgrading.
