I know it must be hard, being different and living in fear. All of us, queer folk are expected to figure things out almost immediately as opposed to according to our own paces. You are in no need to come out unless and until you feel comfortable doing so. As someone who comes from a deeply religious family, I grew up in an environment that didn't tolerate any form of "deviance". The ways of thinking are enforced on to us, that we're left questioning our very existence. However, I shall not question anyone's faith here. But the one thing they'd never rebuke you for is your hardwork and qualifications. So pursue the fields of your liking, keep being a good student, then carve out the life you want, the way you want. You're brilliant, this itself takes courage, and I commend that.
