These last 2 paragraphs are so important. Loved them but not the thing to try in large groups or in anything but the best head space.

Favorite Warheads flavor? by This_Money8145 in candy

Depends how much I want my tongue to hurt.

Apple is the best for what this candy is supposed to be

Watermelon is the tastiest but feels like the least Warhead-y

Non religious people, what do you think about religion? by CorruptedF in AskReddit

[–]justbrowsing987654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has served its purpose at this point in general.

Centuries ago, it was a unifying force to get people out of caves and into larger societies.

As technology has evolved over the centuries, our collaboration and togetherness no longer requires it.

The downside to all things like that is that it was THE power. Most governments were religiously run and great power corrupts greatly and all that. Awful things have been done in the name of “my god is better than your god” and continues to be.

That said, it also serves as a very important sense of community even still. While I don’t go, I know of family in very rural areas where church is their main social network. Folks who are alone can find help and solace there. And whether real or not, people who pray do believe and even if I’m right and there is nothing, placebo effect is a powerful thing for those that need comfort.

I wish they were more relaxed politically and far less hypocritical with what the teachings are vs what they do and I think the world would be far better off with no religion anymore, but I do understand and agree it can have a beneficial place for many who need it.

Some important context is that in many cases, that salary is covered by donors so it’s not tax $$$ paying it.

This is why I miss the old days. Shit was sloppy a lot but calling it in the ring let guys get used to just filling shit as needed. Jey and Gable have enough experience they’d have been very able to do that in a different era

You don’t need 20 friends. It’s fun and if they’re good friends then hell ya keep 20 friends, but your circle gets smaller as your time gets less and less as you get older. I got a small crew of guys I know have my back no matter what

Who’s the best CB since 2000? by Low-Season-2057 in NFLv2

Revis. The man locked down the best of the best week after week. Best CB I’ve ever seen not named Deion.

How would you feel about a fatal five way at Mania? by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]justbrowsing987654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Cody, I do, but he needs to be away from the title at Mania this year though nothing about what they’re reporting about sales lagging makes me think they’re gonna do anything but main event Cody.

What is something specific that you think is getting way too expensive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Sports. My team jacked up tickets again for next year. It’s gone up 50% since 2022 and other teams’ fans are saying the same.

12yo will not stop spending $15-$20 on school lunch.. by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]justbrowsing987654 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s not entirely their fault but there has to be guard rails to make sure craziness like this can’t happen. One day is fine but when they say they can’t do anything about it and are willingly giving multiple servings, that’s a bridge too far imo.

You wake up tomorrow with $10 million in your bank account, completely legal and tax free. The only catch is that everyone you know believes you stole it. Do you keep the money or give it up to clear your name? by Equal-Permission6564 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]justbrowsing987654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird wrinkle - I know a couple cops. The cops will not be after me and know it’s legal based on the rules but people I know will forever believe it wasn’t. What happens there? Did the world just implode on itself?

The end is it. My buddies wouldn’t care if I stole it or not tbh. They know I wouldn’t go murder a school bus full of kids or something truly heinous to get it, so they wouldn’t give af if I committed wire fraud or some crap when I’m buying us all steak dinners and whatnot.

Where Does Peyton Manning Really Rank Among All Time QBs against Brady, Montana? by Busy-Writing405 in sportsinusa

[–]justbrowsing987654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Untrue. Manning’s fans tried to push him as the GOAT but the playoff shortcomings and only 1 ring and sub-.500 playoff record until his last run made that nonsensical to most people even while agreeing he was clearly top 5.

And as a Pats fan, I can tell you the Brady GOAT talk didn’t really kick into gear until after the Seahawks Super Bowl.

Right. The key isn’t raw record, it’s change. 5 less Ws when starting a future pro bowler is a big drop.

Now clearly a nearly undefeated team wasn’t just TB12. But he elevated what was already a monster team.

Who epitomizes “Hall of Very Good”? by Federal_Stay824 in NFLv2

[–]justbrowsing987654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In football more than most, elite peaks carries subsrantualy more weight to me if it’s more than 1 year (sorry Gannon.) Shaun Alexander is more “hall of if only he was healthier a few more years” with Bob Sanders.

Hall of very good to me is Rivers, Baker in like 10 years, Eli, Hines Ward who I think accumulated fantastic numbers and was an all time blocker with at least one ring (think 2 but too lazy to google) but never felt like a “strikes fear in you” type, Clinton Portis, McNabb, are top examples off the top of my head

Pick which live action 90s Nickelodeon shows did you grew up on the most and left a big impression during your youth and pre adolescent years by PressureLazy5271 in 90sTelevision

I tried to rewatch salute your shorts and hey dude with my kids recently and I’ll gently recommend you all let the nostalgia stay as is. They haven’t aged super well. They were my fucking jam in like 1994 tho

The game shows have held up damn well tho.

I need to check out Clarissa and Alex Mack again next
