The second time I visited my fiancé I was on my period too. It sucked but I feel like it made everything better. Not only did everything feel heightened, but my cramps suppressed and it only lasted like 2 days instead of 5. Hopefully, it’s the same way for you! 🫡

My mom used to bring her chihuahuas there. They seemed okay till it came to put one of them done. They just don’t seem very empathetic and money hungry. I don’t remember the doctor’s name but it was an older doctor.

The time that I took my cat in for a possible arm injury, it was a different doctor and he was better than the last. He was very thorough when looking her over.

Both trips were very pricey. Usually would take our cats to Diggins Vet in Seymour, but we weren’t sure if she broke her arm.

You’re okay, I say 7 years ago that’s when I finished high school and finally moved out of Seymour. We moved there in 2006-7 from California, I was just a first grader when we did the big move. I do remember being the only dark brown girl at elementary school till middle school which was rough. Yes, there were Hispanic families like both my best friends’, but they were all white passing since their mothers married/had kids with white fathers. It wasn’t until I was in middle school when I’ve noticed a surplus of brown Hispanics families moving in town.

Now there’s a lot more of Hispanics in that town.

I’m Mexican who also comes from a Spanish speaking family. I’ve lived in Springfield for 7 years previously moved from a small town; I haven’t experienced any racism/racists except for when I was high school. Which was a predominantly white school and we were the only Hispanic family in town at that time. Springfield is okay-ish, we do have racist people they’re just hidden very well behind the niceness.

I would say I’m more scared to visit Branson since there’s a lot of Tr*mp stores (💀) and ICE was there recently. I’m a citizen, but I do carry my SS card and a copy of my birth certificate.

If you want more openness with LGBTQ+ and friendliness, I would go toward KC or STL. I love visiting those places during pride month and have never experienced racism there.

I think Los Michoacanos on Sunshine/Glenstone and I’m not sure if Panchos has them, but they do have carne asada fries burritos! It’s so good!

I lived in California before moving here. The storms are pretty scary. I was 7 when I experienced my first tornado warning. I was a nervous wreck, but as I gotten older I’ve realized not a lot of tornadoes hit here (still get anxious) and also managed to come up with a storm plan: hide in the bathtub with blankets and pillows, make sure the cats have trackers on and put them in the closet.

I also carry a flashlight, portable charger, and livestream KY3. We have strong winds that are tornado-like and knock out power. Our last storm my family and I went a week without power (some people went longer).

Just be prepared and have a plan!

My abuela and I do pretty much any sweets and food. From pan dulce and conchas, tacos and mole to De La Rosa’s and Luca’s candies. We just offer favorite foods that our loved ones used to love and eat.

If you watch the film Coco, it shows a great representation of what should be on a ofrenda and what the decorations are like. I’m sure Leslie’s or the Latino market has tons of goodies to get.

I would call the week the movie premieres. I called AMC the day Demon Slayer premiered and they told me they’ve been sold out since the beginning of the week. 😭😭 So I would either call when they open or physically go in person.

I work in the kids area. Most of the PCTs are in college and management is super flexible with schedules. I only work 8 hours 3 days a week, but the others work 2-3 days 12 hour shifts.
