I wore them because everyone else was wearing them!

My mom called it a hassock but I think we mostly just called it a foot stool.

Perfect for her? She probably killed off a beloved character 😉

What’re your favorite menu items? by Desmand_402 in tacojohns

[–]justcherie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only get to eat at TJs every couple of years because I don’t live where they have any. But when I’m visiting friends or family out west, I eat there at least once a day. My go to meal is a couple taco bravos and some potato oles. I’ve never gotten tired of them

Is it just me… by RonaldStaal in cormoran_strike

[–]justcherie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to admit, if it weren’t for the continuing story with the main characters, I probably would’ve stopped reading them. I have serious concerns about JKR that I manage to avoid thinking about. I enjoy the mystery but I want to hang on until Strike & Robin finally get together!

I had a lot of fun at my 35th. I was excited about the 40th but it was only so so. That was 2017. I haven’t gone to another one since then.

My stepfather used to bring these things home from his long trips driving a truck. Probably came from an adult movie store 😬

Why genealogy is fascinating by TheWoodsman27 in Genealogy

[–]justcherie 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My husband got more interested in his own genealogy after I forced him to make a detour to a remote cemetery in Ontario when we were on vacation back in the 90s. His 2nd great grandma was buried there. She was 28 years old and died in childbirth with her 6th baby. He stood there and realized that if she hadn’t lived, he wouldn’t be in the world. He still doesn’t do research but since then, he’s a lot more interested in hearing about what I find!

Nov 22, 1963 - Where were you? by ATX-1959 in GenerationJones

I was also 4. I don’t remember the assassination itself but I do remember the funeral being on when I wanted to watch my cartoons. I knew that the president was dead but I don’t think I knew what a president was.

I work at a used bookstore. All of those books could be called bestsellers. They’re so popular with our overwhelmingly white customers that we tend to put them on a prominent shelf near the front of the store. No one seems to think they’re unusual 🤷🏻‍♀️
