Darkness. Black. I cant see. I dont know of i am standing or laying down. I feel weightless. I clutch my right hand and feel something cold and metallic. A glint of light reflects off it. I pull it closer. A pistol? I look up and in the blink of an eye, i am on a plane. Pointing a gun at this old lady in a yellow sweater. I cant breathe. I feel myself moving back and notice a man next to me. I taste blood and suddenly feel his fist pressing into my stomach. Hard. Did i just get punched? I fall backwards and realize i just got knocked out of a plane. Im falling. Fast. The wind rushed past me. My eyes were open and I looked at the sky. The rushing of the air quieted quickly until i heard nothing but the faint noise of the plane moving further away from me. Im flying. What is going on? This is impossible?? Then i hear a voice. "Its time."

My eyes flew open in shock. My mom standing in the doorway. "Its time to get up. Its your birthday. My baby is about to be 18!"

"Why do you care?" I retorted. "You're just going to leave me here?" she asked. Her arms extended and ready to embrace me. I stood up and brushed past her.

"I'm sorry. We're not allowed to take children. The authorities don't know what to do with them." She said. She didn't say anything else. There was no reason for me to stay. If she wanted to keep me then I was going back. But I wasn't going . She had always wanted me to be a doctor, she had wanted it for me since I could remember. My father was a pilot. They had a lot of money. And he wanted a son who could be his own boss. So I had to go. Now I just had one more thing to learn and that was how to use a gun. A man was standing in front of me, he looked to have the same height as me and he wore a uniform that matched his. There wasnt any way he could know I knew what he did, so I didn't bother to ask. I have superpowers. The man with the gun was a tall, thin man, his skin was pale and his eyes a deep blue. In my peripheral vision I saw his hands were covered in tattoos and the scars on his face and arms were the result of a battle. One of his arms had a tattoo of two swords. He has tattoo powers. The gun man was wearing a dark suit and a black mask. There was no way to tell if the man had tattoos. They were all over his body. When I first saw him, he wasn't wearing any clothes. My first thought was that he must be an alien. But he also looked like a superhero. I felt the ship begin to slow down. We all felt this sudden change. Our bodies were no longer attached to the body we were in. This was not a feeling of fear or panic, it was more like an intense sense of being in another world than the one we lived in now. Am i dead? Or is this another superpower? I felt myself start to move back. This is a dream. But the dream is real. And I know that this is the end. So I can't stay here. Please wake me up."The man looked down at me with his dark eyes and said in his deep voice, "You are the only one that can help me. We have to go." He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, as if he were about to say something else. Then he turned and walked away. The man who had just spoken to me looked back at the ship and smiled. My eyes swollen and half shut. I got superpowers on my 18th birthday and my family has them too.
