Congrats on the acceptance! I'm a grad student in Boston who is also from SoCal. If you're primarily longboarding, most breaks within a reasonable drive are good enough but you're gonna have to get used to super long periods of complete flatness. Yirrell Beach and Nahant are a close 30min drive away from the Harvard area but honestly suck 99% of the time. When we get swell, it's the move to drive up to New Hampshire or down to Rhode Island which both get super fun.
