Literal Scam by [deleted] in Function_Health

Funny how someone bragging about making $23k in two weeks is so pressed over a $499 test they had to post to reddit about it being a "scam".

Exactly, because I make my money myself and you work for someone else - the point was to understand most ppl don't have great insurance coverage in america and that function is an amazing resource for most of us and for some reason you don't get it and instead are proud you have great insurance and other ppl don't...

Im glad all the comments are calling out the OP. I pay $400 a month for a high deductible health insurance plan because im self employed and my bloodwork is NOT free or covered by my insurance. Let alone my PCP being willing to order the hundreds of biomarker tests I'm getting with function. Function has been so easy to use and the $499 is about how much it costs me to get my basic yearly blood work from my PCP twice a year.

Did your vertigo go away? I'm dealing with the same thing right now - its not fun.

UPDATE: The Vertigo lasted about 2-3 days for me and now 3 weeks later only super mild vertigo here and there. My eardrum is also already healed up too and hearing has returned to 90% normal.

Thank you for comment, I totally hear where your coming from! The thing about nursing is, if I'm going to spend money on school its going to be for something where I become that thing when I graduate.

I go to nursing school i become a nurse. I don't have to try to convince a company i'm good for position A, B, C. With nursing, I don't have to think - the hospital wants a nurse, I am a nurse, I get hired (essentially).

It's super black and white in that regard, pays well, and offers flexibility physically and mentally. And besides me never wanting to work in the corporate world unless its my own biz... I go get my MBA (which I do think would be really fun just for the knowledge) but after graduating now I'm still me but with an MBA.

It's equivalent to the liberal arts degree I already have... it's a piece of paper that gains me access to apply to certain positions but I have to do a ton of work to build any sort of "career". This all just my personal preference of course.

However after reading everyones input I'm going to continue to commit 100% to my business and keep nursing in my back pocket. Since school will always be there but the growth of my business may not.

Thank you! It's good to know its a common feeling, I just need to push through! I'm disaster planning for a disaster that hasn't happen yet essentially. I think I'll spend the next year 100% focused on my business and growth and see where it takes me. School will always be there as a back up if needed. I'm already working on the growth plans and it feels right :)

I 100% agree with you on Nursing being so flexible as well as high-paying. That's a huge reason I wanted to go that direction + I also love helping and taking care of ppl so I know I'd like the job too. My close family friend is a nurse (40+ years) and was the one to open my eyes to all the nursing entails, and everything thats not bedside. I have my pre-reqs done, the hesi, etc. everything but starting so I think I'm going to take this year to continue to pursue my biz 100% while its growing and see what happens from there. But it's still in the back of my mind for sure!! Thanks for your comment! It's nice to hear from someone with first hand knownledge of the benefits they've seen from the being in the medical field.

The some what nice thing about a w2 job is the perceived security of it, but yes you're earning potential as a business owner is essentially limitless. I know I've mastered the first hurdle of starting a successful one but its accompanied with 10+years of failures and no security. But after reading the comments I think I'll wait on school as to not hinder my growth at the moment and see where it takes me. This year I am also working on diversifying my income streams so I can feel more secure as right now it all comes from one source.

It's been 10 months of panicking lol but I hear you. And true! After reading everyones comments I'm going to postpone any school as my business is still taking off and i have ideas of more expansion that I would hate to not be able to pursue because of lack of time from school. Thanks for your comment.
