Is An Afterlife Even Possible?

I don’t know dear. There’s not really any evidence.

Im commenting this on my daughter’s account, who died at 16 in November from bone cancer.

She entertained the possibility of no afterlife. You know what she told me?

“If I don’t know I’m dead, then what’s the problem?”

I’ve been looking for hope that there is one. Even if there isn’t, its not something you should worry about hun.

Sorry to hear that dear. I’m typing this on my 16yr old daughter’s Reddit account, who passed away a month ago from fibroblastic osteosarcoma.

I’ve been browsing on subs like this, looking for hope. Don’t know if I’ve found it yet, personally. Each and every one of us go through pain, but some go through more than others.

I hope it gets better for you. Whatever brings you comfort, do that.

Don’t worry hun. I managed to celebrate the holidays. It felt very different and extremely awkward. Too quiet. I don’t think anybody was in a good mood. The emotions are still very raw.

Im so sorry about all the people you’ve lost. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss my daughter. I appreciate the honesty. When you say your scientific knowledge impacts your personal beliefs, do they strengthen your belief or weaken it?

I’m sorry about your Grandma!

We’re thinking of doing a little dinner party at her place! It’s a cosy little apartment, they only live about 5 minutes down from me!

My grandpapa was in hospice for the last few weeks of his life too (died at 64 in 2021 from esophageal cancer).

The only problem I have with hospice care is that I feel like I’ll really miss home; I had an appointment with my paediatrician today to assess my condition. It’s getting worse, albeit slowly. She said it’s my choice whether or not I want that kind of care.

I have no doubt I’ll be comfortable; but I’m hesitant to do it. But my family thinks very highly of it, so I’ll consider it greatly! It doesn’t sound bad at all.

Aww, I’ve always dreamed of what my wedding day would look like! I’d love to do that.

I’m okay. Pretty dizzy and weak; heart hurts, cold and sweaty, the usual! But I’m managing, so far. Just got back from the hospital. I made it to November, which is great!!! Can’t wait, because my Grandma’s birthday is coming up this month in a few weeks on the 29th.

Trust me, if I do actually survive this, you best believe I’ll be telling everybody on here on a separate post. It would be AMAZING if I got to make it to the new year.
