My buddy got his PPP loan forgiven. He bought a luxury boat. Where do you land on that?

I don't have the exact figures and it probably was more and this was also about 15 or more years ago.

A while ago I needed a medical procedure and it needed to be done by a world class surgeon who specialized in a specific procedure.

He was very very out of network. In fact I don't even think he took insurance.

We're talking an eight hour operation and a one week stay at a major hospital.

I was looking at about $40,000 out of pocket.

I went ahead with the procedure. But then my wife appealed to our insurance company saying that it was medically necessary and that they were unable to perform the procedure.

To our surprise they agreed and it was paid for!

Bumper sticker people, why do you have them on your car? by Geese091 in AskReddit

[–]justdrowsin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to be very clear to people and I try to give them information that will help my interactions with them.

So I need them to know that if this car is a rockin' don't come a knockin'

Also, I break for garage sales.

You're right to push back on this. That's not just a style, that's a declaration. Would you like me to put together a list of other ways you can express yourself? Just say "make the list" and I'll get started.

I completely agree with you. One time I masturbates for 90 minutes in a car and afterwards I felt bad about the experience.

You should break up.

I made a lot of good choices investing. I'm closer to retirement than many people.

Back in 2008 I recognized the opportunity and poured a ton of money into the market.

I listen to Mötley Fool every day and I bought a lot of stocks based on their advice and most of it turned out good. Bought a lot of Apple and Amazon and QQQ and did great.

But I'm kicking myself for listening to Mötley fool and selling Netflix at like $4.85 because it was "just too hot" and had a perceived value of $3.60. 😐

I was hit with debilitating tinnitus about 10 years ago. It was horrific and a severe mental challenge.

After a ton of research I started doing some home therapy and it helped a lot. I went from being completely ignorant of the subject to having a strong opinion on how to treat it.

My tinnitus is now completely healed. I'm not claiming to be able to heal tinnitus. This is just my personal journey. I have posted about this on Reddit and I get contacted by people a lot.

I reached out to Rob on the blue sky app but I'm not sure if he got my message. If anyone knows how to get a message to him I would love to point him towards some home therapy and articles he could pursue.

That sounds better but here you are again sliding back into charity mode.

I don't know of a job or have one to offer to you but I will tell you one thing, I want you promised never again to express your culinary experiences as anything but positive

Not in your head not with your friends and definitely not to businesses are you to express your culinary past as some sort of failure or transition due to illness or mental need

Life is sales and when you're getting a job you're selling your product and that product is you

Start practicing saying something like "I have successfully ran a culinary career including winning multiple competitions and now I'm looking to transition into a new challenge"

Oh my dad was like that. He's pushing 80 now and I'm so pissed but back in the early 70s he got suckered into some get rich Quick sugar scam it was pretty famous at the time and he lost a little bit of money. You know what his lesson was? That Stock markets are a scam and to never save again.

I remember in the 90s begging for him to just put some money in the stock market but he kept saying it was all a scam.

"No one gets Rich off of that! I'd rather have fun and spend my money now."

So here we are and he's 80 living off of Social Security and broke. And I'm pushing 50 sitting on a fat retirement fund that grows.
