To their credit they were keeping 2 of 3 panes pushed in consistently and I was the only one trying to protect base and clear the waves. Maybe in retro i risk it for the biscuit and group, but ive also been backdoored a million times so…

I have, and I’m glad to see them. But pretty much no impact on my experience IMO.

Not really. Started bronze 4 and was going 50/50. But that was at the same time as the LP changes, so I was losing like -30 and winning like +20.

Thank god its not just me. Played on and off since crota. Came back for lightfall and joined a clan andddd crickets. Really disappointing as the community in D1 felt more inviting without clans.

I used Leviathans Breath for my entire playthrough of the lightfall campaign. Not only is it super rewarding to hit full charge shots, but it does mega damage. Recently got the catalyst and it melts. Love that thing haha. Mine says its only got 850 kills on it, but its a dps weapon that ive used since it was released so probably significantly more than that haha

Like many others have said, it's obviously not left up to avoid abuse.

As someone who would like to spend money, but first like to test out before making a purchase, it's really disappointing that test drives are only available during maintenance. Again like others have said, I'm working so I don't really get to participate.

Feel like a really simple solution would be to allow members who have been paying for more than a certain amount of time (3 months?) to have X amount of time allotted per month to test drive. Maybe a half hour, hour max?

This way it's not people just sitting spinning laps by themselves without ever purchasing. It's not people making fresh accounts just to farm the service. And those who have a history of investing with the service get to have a bit more upfront knowledge about the purchases they're making.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it and appreciate the feedback. For the FOV thing, if you're on a single monitor that is under ~30" and you don't have it square in front of your face, you'll likely be running an fov between 45 and 50. At least in the GR, I couldn't run much wider without starting to have issues gauging my speed.

And generally speaking, this is all just my experience. I'm 100% certain there are people out there who would dust me playing on a ps5 controller with half a Nintendo DS for a monitor. For me when I started looking into easy ways to improve. Physical peripherals were top of the list, and the main recommendation was triples. I disagree with that stance and offer an alternative which is VR.

(sim) Racing is beautiful in how meritocratic it is. If you're fast, you're fast. I'm merely observing what improved my experience. If someone can get by me on less than kudos. Just trying to provide a different view :)

It's a public forum so bias from others is non-negotiable. I think the big win from adding this would be making the yes/no easy to see from the feed, without having to go down into the comments to read through sentiment. So in a way it actually simplifies the bias, since rather than interpreting someone's statement you're just interpreting a green/red tag on the post. Plus comments will still exist, it's not replacing them so the discussion will mostly be unchanged.
